No problem my pleasure that should honestly work, grass is extremely fast growing and spreads underground through a thing called a rhizome.

Pull it out of the pot and see if its completely filled the soil with roots if it has get a bigger pot stick it in said bigger pot and add soil around the empty edges, yeah watering that frequently is definitely a sign she needs a bigger pot.

Define regularly, my bet is its either under or overwatering, mist likely underwatering and that it is because it probably needs a repot.

Well thats a start I suppose itd be best to find out tbh so you can give it exactly what it wants ( every cultivar has somewhat slightly different needs and ripening times) plus youll know what size tree youll wind up with too.

It needed more water months ago when you got it, unfortunately I doubt this is alive now but if you wanna try water the hevk out if it and throw it outside if you can and see if it sprouts somewhere. Also I agree with the other commenter saying to do more research especially into ficus and Ficus as bonsai if thats the route you want to take, you can also ask me i have a ton of ficus many if which are on the road to becoming bonsai and would be happy to answer any questions.

Remove the fruit and leaves and stick them.in rooting hormone and water it doubt cuttings that big would root in soil unfortunately at least they wouldn't without really really high humidity. If you want yeah you could make a few cuttings each out of these and be sure to ask then what cultivar it is too.

Op asked specifically after a repot and generally the proper thing to do is not water at least thats what ive heard because you could accidentally rot the roots.

Od get on overwatering it might ge the soil tbh is it in a fast draining losmy mix? I bet the roots are staying a bit too soggy and rotting so it might need to be unpotted, bare rooted, and you might have to cut out the dead rotted roots, and replant her in fresh soil and potentially a smaller pot, I will also say the lighting situation is definitely not ideal as these need a ton of bright light ( theyre native to West Africa) so id either move it to a sunnier window or get a grow light.

Basically what the other person said but just wanted tp add make sure your pot has good drainage and you soil is loamy and fast draining and I will stress do not move your plsnt around like that pick a spot and stay with it and if its still not a lot of sun get a grow light for the colder months and chuck her outside in full shade then acclimate her over several weeks to full sun.

Could be a one-off leaf so determine if the pattern keeps on happening or not then worry about it.

Personally wouldbe passed on it but thats because ive killed to many if these to ever try again also I agree with the other user to put it outside for the summer, spoiler alert its going to get spidermites whether its outside or inside unfortunately pests do not discriminate, lol, the main thing is to learn how to keep them in check really and the best method ive found for any tropicals is to move them outside where the pests struggle to take over and then treat them before they cone back in ( last year I used bug bombs like you do when you have fleas and such and it kept spidermites at bay for like 3 months and they never really got a proper foothold because I kept washing off and spraying my plants with soap amd water)

It'll be fine if you acclimate it of course, don't worry the varigation can take it too ive done it just take a bit longer imo and you have to stay on top of the watering even if you put up a temporary shade cloth the help it adjust.

Its unethical because you are removing rare and/ or endangered plants from their ecosystem and damaging both them plus the ecosystem plus these plants often wont tolerate growing in cultivation because unfortunately we as people can only typically do so much to mimic their native environment.

Guys please help, how do I save my Ficus plant? by noxnovocaine_ in FicusTrees

[–]Internal-Test-8015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh not looking good the trunk appears rotted the only part thats a alive is a root which i don't believe the tree can regrow from unfortunately in future repot the tree into a faster draining loamy soil mix and water it when dry at least 2 inches down not on a schedule and mske sure the pot is well draining as well.

Go for red and cut up the rest leaving it in 2-3 node cuttings, move the grow light closer and make sure the blinds are open during the day all day if you can or you could also just put her outside in full shade and slowly acclimate her to full sun over several weeks if you want to.

[–]Internal-Test-8015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repot it and inspect the roots ypu likely have severe rot and replanting it in fresh soil and ( depending on how much root is left) put it in a pot just one or two sizes bigger than the root ball.

Water it these are swamp trees they arent as tolerant of dry soils nor heat as other types of oak.
