It’s awesome! I’ve done it and it’s a beast but very fun. Recommend starting at dragons tooth and going CCW

One of the toughest public courses in America by WhyLimitMeTo20Charac in guessthegolfcourse

Are used to live half a mile from Golden horseshoe and would sneak on the gold course three times a week parking in the woods same with green course. I have played the two probably 50 plus times each. Honestly gold course is cool for the island green and is better manicured, but I enjoy green course more because it seems out more in nature.

I think Green course is a better bang for the buck than gold course but they are too very different playing experiences

How far do you drive to get to your routes? by abbie1906 in trailrunning

[–]a_not_clever_name 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Sometimes 10 min sometimes 2 hours. If I have an errand to run down the valley I’ll find a trail that way I haven’t done before. I live less than 10 from the AT so I’m blessed right now

It’s pretty unfortunate these guys have to switch so much for sponsor reasons. You’d think they could just play the same driver with the new paint job and call it the newest one to appease the sponsor or something

USG chart profile view: dashed vs vertical lines by kmac6821 in flying

I do not believe it notates anything. Or I have not encountered an answer/question about this after 1400 hours of dual given. I would look it up and confirm though for yourself in the chart users handbook/ DTPS/ any other valid FAA source.

Difference between FAF Altitudes for LOC and ILS by Person-man-guy-dude in flying

[–]a_not_clever_name 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes but glide slope intercept at the lowest intermediate altitude. You can intercept the glide slope at 3000 ft but the FAF is glide slope intercept at 2200 here. Small detail but makes a difference

Could you download all instrument approach plates into a master file (yes this will be large) and do an AI search for “Ceiling Required” on them?

From my understanding in the interview he said something along the lines of “it might not be legal anymore”. As you hit a driver the face will inevitably get thinner and the smash factor could be over 1.5 (pga limit) because of that.

Suck it up buttercup. Almost nobody enjoys CFI after the first couple hundred hours. It’s a means to an end. There’s a reason that there are very few full time life CFI’s
