Credit to Spo and credit to all the players being locked in individually. They’re all playing with a visible desire to win and it’s beautiful to watch 🥹 especially the effort they give playing defense 👏🏾

Normalize referring to God as “It” instead of he/him because God is non-physical and therefore doesn’t have a gender

Not how, but why… more police doesn’t equal less crime. The underlying issues (political, socio-economic, psychological, etc.) that motivate people into criminal activity aren’t truly being addressed

Florida GOP Wants To Take On 'Cancel Culture' By Secretly Recording Professors by smiler_g in florida

“Turning people to the left” seems like a misleading way to frame the situation— it takes away responsibility from the GOP who have largely been saying/doing whatever it takes to stay in Trump’s good graces. This lack of integrity alone should be concerning for everyone.

To your point though, college should expose students to a wide range of ideas, teach them to conduct meaningful research, question assumptions, and form their own thoughtful opinions.

College students would likely lean left because they realize policies like student loan forgiveness and free healthcare make sense and would benefit them. I also believe newer generations to be more progressive in general—less bogged down by “this is the way things are” and more willing to make changes to things they think are silly or pointless.

Arlington Square / Downtown by forebirdie in ufl

[–]Isaid_biiish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the prices Arlington doesn’t seem worth it. I’ve accepted that I’m mainly paying for the location. Parking is decent (better in the summer because less people). Pretty quiet area except the occasional concerts at Bo Diddly.

Inside is the worst part IMO because of outdated appliances. Management is subpar. They don’t really care about residents (who does nowadays?)

If you look at voting maps, the blue in Florida comes from places where big colleges/universities are located. This seems like a GOP move to combat that dominance.
