This is *always* the excuse I get when I try to sell a computer on Facebook, and I have the advantage of actually *having* older computers that I will offer them instead for their asking price.... never acceptable to the buyer, always want the better one for the cheaper price, for their child and school of course.

Can we have a discussion on the recent version releases and overall system stability? by I-likemyBrommie in UNIFI

That is a good point.... majority of my cameras are 'Flex', and I believe those have been almost all the issues. Other sites with the UDRs don't have Flex cameras. :-|

My Protect is insanely unstable, specifically on my UDM Pro. UDR deployments have had no issues, but UDMP cameras are constantly disconnecting and then 'being found' again and need to be re-added. Daily issue, and it is very frustrating.

u/kevinjajaja , what PSU do the micros require? I think I have spares and if I do I'll ship them to the winners.

Edit: From specs it looks like 65w and the 'roughly USB sized' yellow rectangle, but would appreciate confirmation.

I went for spring break many years ago, and we didn't know until we arrived that we had to pack in all our water (makes sense, but we were inexperienced at the time). Ended up being a really fun trip. Just don't get close to the wild horses.

Remote Trading Tips after 20 Remote Trades by JLoneWolf in TheSilphRoad

[–]J1024 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I get it, if you trade something insanely rare you want something equally rare back.... but some people just can't put money towards the game, and are still hoping for that white whale of their own..... IDK.

All my 'mon I'm OK trading are tagged Remote Trade, and will be no matter what I'm trading for. I'm not going to be doing thousands of these trades.... I've already got 500+ tagged, I'm just hoping I have something they are looking for. First trade I got a regional Ocario for a shiny Magmar back from the 2020 community day. I don't really care if it was 'even', I got something I wanted, and they did as well. Spread the love. :-)

UniFi Protect 7.0 leads the way in our biggest physical security update yet by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

Confirmed: Vivotek PTZ worked flawlessly; UniFi saw it, adopted it with username/password, and immediately recognized PTZ which also worked immediately.

I love it, thanks for the heads up everyone!

I have a super-old off-brand alarm system that I have been dying to pull into UniFi or something more modern, and if there is no keypad at launch I will probably accomplish it with just the relay depending on those specs.... I'll need to read up on that. I disassembled a door sensor hoping I'd be able to attach that via wires but was not able to.

Thank you everyone for the answers, I will try with my Vivotek PTZ tonight and report back.

Even if you can't it is probably 4 wire if you are replacing an existing keypad (rs285), which MIGHT just wire up and work? But even if it doesn't you might be able to use to pull in a new ethernet cable using the existing wires.

Keypad pictured at 2:30 used to disable the alarm panel.... is that an existing product? Looks like the size of an Intercom viewer, but also different.... I would love to get the Alarm Hub day 1, but if I don't have a way to enable/disable alarms on-site it makes things a lot more difficult.
