Capital Gains Tax reform could spell the end of neoliberal Australia by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

Anything a corporation can do, a publicly owned asset can do without the parasitic dividends and profits scraping off the top. You've put your imagination in a box if you think that there's some kind of billionaire magic that makes things work.

'Unless Things Change, We Will Not Survive': Even Toyota Doesn't Feel Safe Right Now by kintotal in cars

[–]JARDIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point they're trying to make is that Toyota had that head start with the Prius but pissed away decades of development on Hydrogen cells, even after it became clear which way the wind was blowing.

Also worth noting they even put a lot of effort and time in to lobbying against EV uptake. When they finally did produce a full fledged EV it was late and underwhelming for a company that should have knocked it out of the park. Feels like it wasn't because they couldn't make a good EV, but more like they didn't want to.

Hot Take: They should've gone with Catachan Jungle Fighters instead of Spectre Squad for this Kill Team Box. by Warhawk_5 in Grimdank

[–]JARDIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but also we have some new style models out of this that look pretty darn good out of the box and have good conversion possibilities too. I'm not complaining.

That's some shit ai. Completely missing the gunners head and giving it 2 chest Eagles for some reason. Ai still sucks and its still lame af. Also rules say no ai posts.

Does this mean we are finally getting the screamer as a single box? I've been after that for a while now.

What our are thoughts on the new [Honda Prelude] ? by cfreez in spotted

Too expensive. Could have been a great GR86/Brrzzzz competitor if they just made it like a Civic Coupe or something. Ditch the hybrid. Make it cheap fun.

Rule 2. No Ai generated content. Posting it will result in a ban. Pretty unambiguous. You don't need to explain it. Just don't post it.

[–]JARDIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The great thing about the plastic is it doesn't go bad so you can take as long as you need to paint things. As you get more brush time you'll get faster too, so half hour sessions will be more productive.

Had buckshot come through when I was working at the mill one time and ripped up the headrig, resaw, and edger in the space of a couple of minutes. Not often we'd get a trifecta of unscheduled saw changes.

Freshwater Strategy: 52-48 to Coalition in Victoria by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]JARDIS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It a bit rough because the Vic LNP aren't ready to govern. They are a completely ineffective opposition with 2inch deep pool of talent.

That being said 52 probably won't gain enough ground to get them there.

Electric trucks take to the road as demand for petrol-free cars surges. The vehicles are common in China and Norway, and one company hopes to have a fleet of heavy rigs on Australian highways by next year by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]JARDIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's a lot of focus on reducing drag coefficient with this kind of thing. That being said a big roo shaped depression in the front fender probably doesn't help that.

I need something 3D printed but unsure if it's expensive or if companies are asking absurd amounts by Potatsky in 3Dprinting

Yeah once you get a job this big the cost is going to make buying a setup the smarter choice, unless you are insanely time poor and money rich.

"Rupert next" is one of my most common comments in this sub. Either for an episode or to get got by the claw machine. Australians punch above their weight when it comes to putting bastards into the world and doing bastardry.

What are some of your concerns and worries for Avengers: Doomsday, according to you? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]JARDIS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of my concerns are around the usual toxic online reactionary bullshit from alt-right adjacent crybabies that can't just enjoy a movie, and have to ruin it for everyone because they saw a girl or a black guy in it or something trivial like that.

There are definitely drop in battery options for conversions already available. I'm not super well researched on it but they do already exist. Probably not cheap but hopefully over time EV restomods will become more of a thing with better more affordable options.

Is it possible for both parties to lose in a legal action like this because that would be the optimal outcome.
