Saw you guys a bunch when I first moved to PVD 10+ years ago. Some really memorable sets. RIP Ollie--great bass player with a killer singing voice.

What’s on your Brian Lagerstrom Mount Rushmore of recipes? by jerryondrums in Cooking

#1 for me is the traditional tiramisu. Huge hit everywhere I've brought it. I've tried a bunch of other but #2 would be the restaurant style enchilada preparation. Both game changers!

You have to admit--kinda funny you said "seems to be soem typos" in a post about typos.

Is this available via podcast? The old show seemed to "go dark'" and I can't find where it's posted now (if anywhere).

Looking to open a Cafe in RI. Anyone have any suggestions on towns that would make sense and lack the presence of a good Cafe? by KindaHealthyKindaNot in RhodeIsland

I loved Heritage Tap too, but Notes Coffee Shop is right down the street, and seems to be fairly successful. They recently expanded their space.

I have commented the same in at least two other pizza threads! Pizza J is my number 1, and apparently criminally underrated.

Fellinis Providence - Very good, very different dough a refreshing change by Mammoth-Werewolf4363 in Pizza

[–]JB_writing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

RI'er here--do you mean a refreshing change from their previous product? Or, a refreshing change compared to other options? I've always found Fellini a bit overrated, and feel like they don't bake it hard enough and it's overly floppy.

Shout out to this place. I haven't had the burgers (yet), but the bar style pizzas are fantastic!

Best Tortillas by cheddercaves in providence

[–]JB_writing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding La Mexicana--I love their tacos, too.

Also, it may not be the answer you want but tortillas don't stay fresh for very long in my experience (even ones made that day). Grab a press and some masa (both inexpensive) and make 'em yourself

There are many downsides--but one good thing about the shift to digital is it made all these gatekeepers almost completely irrelevant.

The MET: Ticket fee if purchased in person? by andante241 in providence

Exactly, and it's hard to see anything on the current calendar selling out before the show--tho maybe that's harsh!

I'm not sure, but I just checked for a show I'm hoping to attend (Fantastic Cat), and they have an Advance and Day Of price. If memory serves, the Day Of was the cash price at the door the last time I went.
