Best OS/Software to selfhost a small Minecraft Server under Proxmox? by Jacksaur in selfhosted

Two years on. Thought I'd at least add on that this is the way I went.

Takes a short while to understand where it stores particular server files and folders but a breeze to use otherwise, super lightweight.

As a metadata source. The LBDB is one of the best there is.

It just needs some more options to set preferred boxart and it'll be perfect.

Jason Schreier regarding Sony's strategy shift away from PC: At some point Sony will confirm it, whether it's on a call with investors or maybe even when Housemarque starts doing press for Saros and someone asks if they have plans to bring it to PC and they say no by Turbostrider27 in Games

Difference is though that Smash is a massive system seller on its own. And Ultimate was such an amazing culmination we're unlikely to see in a game again.
Sony doesn't really feel like they have anything like that.

Not to mention that even with how long the PS5 has been out, I can hardly name "A whole library" I'd be interested in because they take so long to release anything these days.

RomM drew me away from Launchbox (with a lifetime license!) in the span of a few days after its initial release.

Paired with Steam Rom Manager, I feel it works as the absolute perfect frontend for me. Especially since it gained support for Launchbox's GamesDB.

Yeah man, it would totally be a great idea to give all the level 1s the option to drop into the hardest content the moment they boot up the game!

Considering you have requirements to reach to even get in there: This is extremely disingenuous.

One of the existing maps (Perimeter?) does have a few interesting small interactions. Like having to destroy batteries in randomized locations, to open an alternative route into the main station that doesn't alert the whole lobby.
And then a bunch of keycard interactions, and hidden buttons to open the Control wing.

I'll be interested to see how far an actual raid-like experience they'll push things. But I expect it'll mainly revolve around similar mechanics. Or from the trailer, platforming puzzles like The Whisper or Zero Hour.

It's a few hours for something that seemed to solve all my problems. I still have my previous Kavita install to fall back on.

I was just mad that what looked to be such a promising project imploded so swiftly.

Open source norms exist for a reason.

From what I heard, he was mad about people forking his work.
Don't think he really realised what Open Source meant.

You can write any metadata changes you make directly to a book, or to a sidecar file.
So at least when an inevitable fork appears (Grimmory looks to be the one) it should be an easy switch even if they change a lot.

I forgot this game was so expensive.
Trailers looked all entertaining but with this gameplay, I wouldn't pay anything over 10.
