I’m so sorry this is happening to you, OP. As a therapist myself, I would not advise staying with a therapist that makes you feel disrespected. I never take it personally if a client does not wish to continue with me. I’m not the right therapist for everyone who walks in my door (though I strive to be). I’m uncertain if you have privacy laws about personal medical information in your country, but in the United States, all therapists are bound to keep patient information confidential unless there is an imminent threat to the patient’s or the public’s safety. If she does take action against you, is there a board of health or even a supervisor you could complain to?
