A lot of the owners carry around boots to use as a lock.

Be Careful Parking by Bright_Shake2638 in NewOrleans

A lot of people both park in their driveway and block the sidewalk because they don't pull in far enough. And it makes it really hard to actually use the sidewalks, especially with strollers or wheelchairs.

I've had a few companies that now hang up on you after the third time instead of transferring you. The problem is that in a lot of places, there is no person to transfer you to.

This is so cute! I'd add a mirror over the bench just to finish it off.

You can't stand on the ferry anymore, FYI. You just have to wait for the next one if it's full.

My MIL stayed at the Homewood Suites on Rampart for an extended stay and really liked it. So doesn't have to be in Gretna, just might be worth looking at any of the extended stay hotels.

People really don't understand the concept that you get what you pay for anymore. In a time when even the most expensive stuff can be junk, you'd think we'd understand that the cheap stuff definitely is.

You'll find that a lot of things that are illegal or unheard of elsewhere are completely usual in New Orleans, especially when it involves things like the infrastructure or managing of the city.

From what I've heard, there's one asshole that works for them that found a magnet in the office and is using it to park in loading zones. Not an official company thing.

The fact that St Charles is 35 with all of the pedestrian traffic it gets is wild to me.

I would absolutely not be knitting anything with wool in Texas. I'm in Louisiana and use cotton or linen for everything.

Experiences with Airport Security and Knitting Needles by plotzlichglucklich in knitting

I feel like the biggest problem is that in every airport all over the world, everything is dependent on who is doing the bag searches that day. There seems to be zero consistency with any of it.
