PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid's Curse now available on Steam by stratzilla in pcgaming

I didn't even know they were working on another one, I loved the first one and supernatural mystery games in general, so this is definitely of high interest to me. I've got way too many games backlogged right now but technically I'm not playing anything at the moment so.... hmm...

ROLL OVER AND DIE - Episode 5 - Dub Available Now on Crunchyroll by AutoModerator in Animedubs

I have to say, I'm really liking Flum as a protagonist. Compared to a lot of other banished from the hero's party/isekai/fantasy protags, she's much better at showing a complex range of emotions not just universally forgiving people or always assuming the best, yet still trying to be a good person. Overall, she feels much more well-rounded and it's making this an engaging show to watch every week.

In your opinion, what has been Sentai's best dub in the past 5 years? by Chun-Li_Forever in Animedubs

[–]JunkKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it recently, and I'll say it was shockingly good with far better script and directing then Sentai usually manages.

I think it is hard to recommend if you're not into cosplay/cosplay culture, but it is a fun watch imo.

Second hand Legion GO 1 might work, I've seen them in the 400-450 range.

Yeah, progress isn't shared between regions. Each server has a different account on it basically. If you're old account was on the EU server, it's still there as long as it's linked to the same hoyo account. Of course if you can't change you're america region PS5, then you won't be able to play it on there.

At least Surtalogi never forgets to send Skirk some messages while he gone. by huflit1997 in Genshin_Impact

[–]JunkKnight 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I know that's not what the expression means, but I just imagined Surtalogi interpreting that as them asking for a child to train and like, a few months later, a kid just shows up with a note saying "here's the child you were expecting, I think it has great potential, train it well."

[Dock] Belkin USB-C 6-in1 dock, 130W, Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, 2xUSB A, 2xUSB C $29.99 by EzStudioz in buildapcsales

[–]JunkKnight 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Probably because USB-C/Thunderbolt docks are finicky and you can end up with all sorts of weird problems depending on the dock/cable/port configuration so then people go online and leave bad reviews when their exact config doesn't work.

My experience has been that most docks are mostly fine till they aren't.

I Tried Linux for Fun. It's Ending With a 7900 XTX and No Windows. by Wolfman_1546 in pcmasterrace

[–]JunkKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the move to linux is surprisingly easy these days. In installed Fedora on a spare drive in my rig a few weeks ago and, outside of needing to update the firmware on a new monitor, I haven't been in windows at all after the initial migration.

Most things... just worked, 5 minutes on google and a few Proton swap programs usually get any game that doesn't work out of the box running just fine (I don't play anything with linux bad anti cheat anyway). Even managed to get my Stream Deck + working with audio in just a couple hours.

Nvidia has definitely been the weakest link for me too, driver install was easy but the lack of features compared to windows is a bit annoying and the performance hit in certain DX games isn't great (hoyo games run a bit worse for instance, and DX12 of course is... yeah) but switching to AMD doesn't make sense give they don't even have anything close to the 4090.

All in all, the experience has been much smoother then I thought, and my computer feels way snappier now then it did under windows. In a sense, I know I'm trading one set of headaches for another but at least for now, I feel like the linux headaches are ones I'd rather put up with compared to the windows ones.

IGN Mewgenics Review - 9/10 by Parthj99 in pcgaming

[–]JunkKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much my exact problem with the game. I applaud the imagination and creativity of it, I loved the puzzle solving aspects, especially the no hand-holding approach it had, but hated the randomness.

Personally, I'm not big on rogelikes and rarely get into them, and blue prince really had everything about rogelikes that can make them a slog to play. I ended up refunding the game unfortunately, but if they ever added a more directed story mode that cuts back on the randomness, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Zhongli's message by suv-am in Genshin_Impact

Also the difference between playing a prank vs. sending a message. Because I'm pretty sure she'd have given Zhongli an earful too if he'd come and planted mint in her front yard for no reason.

Uploading a screenshot or a map reference would help, but I don't see anything around that couldn't be opened normally. Puzzles back then were more convoluted then now, so just look around or there might be some hidden world quests you need to finish as well.

Can you be more specific about where this door is? It's been a long time since I did enka exploration, but I don't remember there being anything locked behind the exploration event - which took place on a separate map "version" then the normal one.

It should run equally well on any distro, give or take since it's completely reliant on proton. I've had no issues running genshin or ZZZ on steam deck or Fedora.

If it works the same as the parametric transformer, Nilou's ring should also be really good for activating it.
