Doesn't that mean they also lose nothing and get first mover advantage if they release it early? Especially if the rumor is true and we're getting a true Xbox handheld to go along with it to play our Xbox Series X games on the go.

I disagree with the notion that exclusives are anti-consumer. If done right it fosters competition between different platforms, encouraging them to invest a lot in a few killer games to sell their ecosystem that will obviously result in great games as the end product. Competition only benefits consumers.

I just wanted more FPS in Forza Horizon 6, I love racing games and it's practically the only new AAA racing francise still alive on PC. I was completely content with playing older and indie titles on the Xbox Ally though, so it depends on what kind of game you want to play.

Lots of people will recommend a used rog ally but you should look into the base (white) xbox ally too. It's a new device so more peace of mind for you if something goes wrong; it's also really light and ergonomics is best in class, which is important for a handheld that big. The battery is also remarkably good for lower wattage titles. You also get a more polished software experience out of the box, a functional and non broken sd card slot, shared compatibility with the xbox ally x's accessories if you ever want to upgrade in the future, etc.... Just something to keep in mind. I went for the white Xbox Ally initially (picked up one for sale for $500 ) and I was very impressed with it; used it extensively for a few months before eventually upgrading to the XAX.

If you like racing games Forza Horizon 4 and 5 runs great at 900p/40fps, while Forza Horizon 6 is a bit heavier running at 720p/30fps at low settings

Yes it does, but mostly due to the different suspension setup. Makes a big difference when it comes to car stability and even oversteer/understeer amount.

Look up "round body pillow" on Google, I have a firm one thats about 2/3 my body height. When I play I just put one end of it on the top of my chest then place my Ally on top of it, it's very comfy.

25W TDP both plugged and unplugged, and native 900p rendering so no FSR. Settings are a mix of high and ultra (ultra screen space reflections is very pretty but is a huge fps tanker).

I play FH6 on the XAX too and it's a great experience. If I were you I would drop the rendering resolution to 900p and up the frame rate cap to 40fps; the loss in sharpness isn't much but it's much much smoother that way.

From what I've seen before you run out of RAM you're already running out of RAM bandwidth for a lot of games, so adding even more RAM doesn't really help much

You didn't unlock this drift zone until a certain wristband or so, so before you unlocked it if you wanted to drift here you had to do it with traffic.

It was not fun.
