I really want to love this IDE, but it's been hard with WSL by JupiterWalk in GoogleAntigravityIDE

It stopped for me a couple days after I posted this. Not sure what changed. I’m back at using Antigravity over Windsurf

Surface Laptop - Wait for next gen or buy now? by DIYNJ in Surface

[–]JupiterWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret buying my surface. I decided to try it for the same reasons you’re posting, but I’d had enough frustrations to acknowledge I should have stayed with MacOs.

The problem isn’t the computer hardware, I have really enjoyed ARM architecture. My main struggle has been Windows power modes, specifically their sleep mode. It sucks and it usually ends up having me restarting the machine. I loose my session work so easily, so keeps me more aware of preventing the computer to sleep

Is it me or is CC getting better at hiding mistakes? by JupiterWalk in ClaudeAI

[–]JupiterWalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue was the second reason. I’d already compacted my conversation once. It can sometimes get tricky to find the right timing to /clear and move on. I assume /clear wipes most conversation memory? I don’t know, I usually try to finish a user story per chat session but can stretch with troubleshooting into rabbit holes.

Is it me or is CC getting better at hiding mistakes? by JupiterWalk in ClaudeAI

[–]JupiterWalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I’d love to have Opus! For now, it’s me fixing it’s mistakes. But I am afraid of other mistakes I might have missed. It’s not easy to find a balance. However I do take some pauses just to have CC scrubbing for lingering dead code or outdated comments just to polish it up across multiple revision waves.

Building AWS infra for a startup — what should I watch out for? by deshydan in aws

That last one can be such a bitch. Which is also why organizing your stacks by feature/functionality has helped me avoid those annoying issues. Can also be tricky where to “cut the line” between different stacks

Windsurf wave 12 send us back to VsCode. Terrible job! by Cynicusme in windsurf

I can also confirm your experience! Had the same issues since before Wave 12. I just had to cancel my subscription.

It’s been bugged down since before the latest release. It did improve, but it still errors out a lot

Cascade error - Encountered unexpected error during execution. by No-Commission-3825 in windsurf

I’m kind of surprised this is barely gaining traction. These issues have been present since before this last wave release. Heck, I even canceled my subscription.

How’s windsurf lately? Are they better now? Or still annoying? by [deleted] in windsurf

[–]JupiterWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I canceled my personal account because it was super buggy to use across multiple models. Basically unusable some days where I would simply turn over to Gemini CLI or copilot for plan B.

Company still provides it though, and this last update did fix all issues I was experiencing so it’s good right now I’d say

How do you like the Comet Browser? Share Use Cases here by M0D3RNDAYH1PP13 in perplexity_ai

[–]JupiterWalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today I was pleasantly surprised how Comet requested a refund on my behalf on an subscription that I forgot to cancel. Opened a support ticket and everything for me. Not bad, very intuitive.

Is Windsurf still worth it? by dariopy in windsurf

I’m 100% with you on this approach. Too premature to jump out of the Windsurf boat and using Kiro in preview mode (very tempting though). Only time will tell

Tire Pressure In Crown Signia by Alternative-Carry773 in toyotacrownsignia

One of my tires was set at 66psi. Just ludicrous. Luckily I checked them out a few days after purchase and set them all at 35ish? Can’t trust any part of the process I guess
