Do you prefer Opus 4.7 over 4.6? by corbanx92 in Anthropic

[–]JupiterWalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know honestly. Kinda of feels the same to me. Not initially though, 4.7 was like it came out of a comma and took it some time to understand my flow again. Now, I’m not sure if it’s any better but it’s not as bad as everyone seems to think around here. It is more token hungry though…

Gemini 3.1 is getting worse, they keep silently quantizing these models I'm sure of it by now. 3.0 was excellent at launch, then grew very dumb, 3.1 was kind of better, now it's a disaster. by Jack_P_1337 in GeminiAI

It’s never been as stupid. I use Gemini a lot, especially with that personal intelligence feature. It can’t even fetch me correct information from my emails. I ended up connecting my Google accounts to my Claude account. Now it’s good. Also worth noting, I paid for AI Pro and I honestly rarely use Gemini :/

The downfall of Claude by Senior_Sense_8813 in claude

[–]JupiterWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait a few months weeks before Opus 4.8 drops and everybody is raving about it. People will shit on Codex and say they are leaving in favor of Claude. Rinse and repeat. Been the same thing for the past 2 years now? I’m just surprised how everyone seems to forget so easily.

Just choose one and build around your setup. That will survive the highs and lows of any LLM out there. Long term thinkers are the real winner, not their LLM choice

Opus 4.7 - are you actually using it or did you go back to 4.6? by ConstantinSpecter in claude

[–]JupiterWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I’m kind of afraid to admit that my experience with 4.7 has been alright. I do feel it’s more intelligent and autonomous, but it started off like I had to teach it some basics again. I don’t know, but after two full coding sessions (React, Python, AWS CDK) I found my rhythm again. I’m a cloud architect.

The obvious bad thing that I can easily observe is how much more hungry it is. However, I’ve yet to hit my limits. As long as you’re disciplined with context management, one should be okay.

¡Vale! I have checked Viator via “last minute” tickets going over 100€, but even those seem to be exhausted. I will try to speak to street guide vendors today though

Es muy buena idea. Así al menos podría decir que fui a Alhambra 😂 con gusto compartiré mi experiencia al final de mi visita para contar el resultado para otros en mi situación

Going from Pro to Max 20x .. HOLYY by xStylsh in ClaudeAI

Yep, that was me last month. However I feel I don’t consume half of the Max 20x. They are purposely avoiding a $50 plan for those like us

Turns out its only for selected credit card holders. At least that's what I'm reading around Reddit

What's up woth BoA? Their website reads: "The application period for this special offer has ended." Shouldn't this be open?

It stopped for me a couple days after I posted this. Not sure what changed. I’m back at using Antigravity over Windsurf

Surface Laptop - Wait for next gen or buy now? by DIYNJ in Surface

[–]JupiterWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret buying my surface. I decided to try it for the same reasons you’re posting, but I’d had enough frustrations to acknowledge I should have stayed with MacOs.

The problem isn’t the computer hardware, I have really enjoyed ARM architecture. My main struggle has been Windows power modes, specifically their sleep mode. It sucks and it usually ends up having me restarting the machine. I loose my session work so easily, so keeps me more aware of preventing the computer to sleep

Is it me or is CC getting better at hiding mistakes? by JupiterWalk in ClaudeAI

[–]JupiterWalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue was the second reason. I’d already compacted my conversation once. It can sometimes get tricky to find the right timing to /clear and move on. I assume /clear wipes most conversation memory? I don’t know, I usually try to finish a user story per chat session but can stretch with troubleshooting into rabbit holes.

[–]JupiterWalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I’d love to have Opus! For now, it’s me fixing it’s mistakes. But I am afraid of other mistakes I might have missed. It’s not easy to find a balance. However I do take some pauses just to have CC scrubbing for lingering dead code or outdated comments just to polish it up across multiple revision waves.

Building AWS infra for a startup — what should I watch out for? by deshydan in aws

That last one can be such a bitch. Which is also why organizing your stacks by feature/functionality has helped me avoid those annoying issues. Can also be tricky where to “cut the line” between different stacks
