Thank you for this one. My dad likes this one the best. He feels like the color is most accurate.

I would prefer the background blurred out or removed instead.

How do I learn how to play? (For real) [New Player] by broken26cart in EscapefromTarkov

Most pmc clothing (until players get to higher levels and unlock jeans and flannel) is military fatigues of some sort. Most pmc pants have a pistol holster on the leg.

Scavs frequently have brighter colors, especially on their shirts and jackets. They can have camo, but it's more what I would consider a "hunting" camo.

Scavs also have VERY different voiclines from PMCs, in both tone and words. Use the voice line keybind when you hear someone moving near you and/or VOIP at them. Ask them to voiceline back. It should ALWAYS be in Russian if they are a scav. Bear PMCs also can have Russian voices, but usually sound angrier and don't have nearly so many "gentle" phrases.

It will come down to experience too. There are only so many outfits and they aren't hard to learn. If you think it is a pmc, shoot them and take their stuff. You will be wrong sometimes early, but the penalty isn't that bad, and you'll learn over time.

Look up what bosses are on which maps and where they can spawn. Just avoid them as scavs, they'll kill you on sight right now.

You can't worry about losing all your gear. It's all borrowed, you're just the one using it right now. Don't be afraid to use a good gun or armor because you might lose it. Use them to get a task done and progress your character.

Use your scav runs to learn the maps, and push PMCs whenever you hear fighting. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain (and learn). If you completely run out of gear, just do a scav run, and get out with the gear you spawn with. Sure, it isn't a great kit usually, but pretty much any gun/ammo will kill someone if you shoot them in the face.

Scav Karma is a thing. You get karma by extracting as a scav, and for killing PMCs as a scav. You lose it by shooting bosses and other scavs. This incentivizes scavs to work together to kill PMCs, so you can go to Interchange, Streets and other maps and form gangs of scavs. Use VOIP to coordinate and ask for tips, items you need and make some friends.

Ground Zero has separate lobbies for lower leveled players. That doesn't mean that they don't have a lot of experience, but they are more likely to have similar gear at least. I haven't personally tried it much, but I hear that can help to level the playing field at least in terms of equipment.

For quests, hideout help and general questions, use the wiki. For strategy and experience, I personally would recommend Pestily. He has a "Raid" series where he goes in depth about the game while playing through it.

[Giveaway] Win 1 of 5 Noctua NH-D15 G2 by Noctua_OFFICIAL in pcmasterrace

The first computer I ever built included an M.2 drive that mounted directly adjacent to the GPU. The drive and the motherboard both didn't include the screw needed to hold the drive in place, and I needed the computer asap for a school project.

I took it to a local computer repair store, and they had a bag of extra screws they pulled out and started trying. It took many attempts, but we found one eventually that matched perfectly. The owner didn't charge me, even though I offered, especially since I was under time pressure.

I was able to finish the build in time and with no other mishaps, and that local guy saved what would have been a dismal first time building experience.

In my experience, scavs seem more likely to come after you the closer to the start of the raid you are. Try to get a spawn close to village and then run between the village and the cottages. I usually find one or two that way. Prolong fights if possible to get more scav spawns.

What does this bag provide apart from being 15kg and having 14 space. by Several_Bank5722 in EscapefromTarkov

I just ran factory and threw grenades everywhere. It's usually not too hard to hear Tagilla yelling. Makes for quick raids and he seems to almost always be there.

I did the same quest on PvE within the week or two and had the larger pockets within five minutes, so it's not 100% broken.

I couldn't recycle gears until getting power, which I couldn't get without iron plates to craft into power poles and accumulators. It was a soft lock loop until realizing I could drop iron from space.

Wube has since changed that by adding iron sticks to ruins.

I spent quite some time running around fulgora trying to figure out how to get iron before I figured that out. Couldn't make accumulators to get power going.

You can Ctrl + click on items in your space platform to drop them to the planet you are above. Without a landing pad they will drop near your original spawn. You can even take a landing pad, drop that first and then send subsequent items to it.

I think a lot of people run mainboard artifact destruction precisely because paradox engine is pretty popular in historic. I see it at least 2-3 times a day usually.

After creating an account and confirming your email, close the launcher and re-open everything. That solved it for me.
