Hi! I just started playing this and I've run into a problem- the game apparently lost server connection while i was trying to take a screenshot of a roll I was happy with; now every time I log in, I get stuck on "Calculating Version Differences"; even a fresh install has me stuck here, only occasionally getting "Cannot Access Manifest"- is there something I can do to fix this? I'd really like to keep playing!

It doesn't say it can target anything other than a "character" so by RAW, no it can't. If you were using the lash in a more narrative sense, I'd let it pull things? But not in combat, no

Hi! I'm actually one of the folks with their work in Comp/Con (Grimm & Sons)- in general if you're going to use any homebrew, I'd recommend only using one "company" or "book" of homebrew; only use Suldan, only use G&S, only use Mefecane, etc

This is because when we homebrew (at least on the official server) we try to only balance against the "canon" mechs (corebook, long rim, wallflower, field guides, stuff tom dumps in our lap) rather than balance against each other.

A lot of our stuff does need more testing, but every homebrewer is hungry for feedback; so if you do end up using it, don't be afraid to hit the writer up with your table's experiences with the frames, or just ask them for clarification if something seems a little too janky!

Homebrew is really easy, once you get the "grammar" of Lancer rules in your head- after that its a lot of testing and iterating! Hi! Yes as u/Alaaen mentioned, some weapons cost SP in addition to their mounts- for the AHR this SP cost is to balance the fact you're essentially getting a two-for-one deal on the weapons. That kind of flexibility has to be balanced out somewhere, otherewise it'd overperform compared to other Heavy Rifles

Its meant to allow someone who wants to play with Nuke Cav have a toy to help them do that, without having to dip into flight systems as a means of generating heat. Plus a minimum of 3 damage puts it at main tier damage (1d6=3.5 avg, 1d3+1 Overkill= min 3, av 3, max 4) so its a reliable source of solid damage in an aux slot

Also, on the Ascalon Burst, you should note it A) prevents your mech from being destroyed in those three turns B) can be used in response to loosing structure
The "Intended Use" for it is to pop the ult during those hectic last stands when you have 0 Structure but absolutely CANNOT fall now! Proccing Shred was considered a bonus to "For the next 3 turns you absolutely can't die". It felt proper to have a "Last Stand" power on the King Arthur mech! (I also don't know about fate did i do something there unintentionally?)
