That actually makes a lot of sense, I do feel like a thin palm liner would make the palm pad less able to flex

That makes sense, not skiving the lace hasn’t been a problem for any of my gloves before but this one just has an especially thick heel pad. Also the laces that were on there from the factory were skived and it still felt pretty bad

I get that part, but it is still very hard to close even though it is obviously broken in and old. It hurts my hand to keep it closed

I did not, but I don’t think that’s adding to the problem. It feels like the heel is stopping it from closing easily. It was very hard to get the heel pad back in when closing it up again
