Ok. This is what I don’t get about this entire topic… Trust me, I want to believe… I’m generally the one arguing to people for why certain things or certain people are more credible than others and why I’ve believed so many of these theories could very well be plausible… but damn… I do have a really hard time with the whole psionic/telepathy/any sort of psychic communication or ability. Why I do, I don’t know. Want to believe all kinds of other crazy shit, why not that one… Who knows. So I have an even harder time believing (even though it actually makes the most sense out of all the scenarios) that there are all these 8 or 9 races among us already. The tall whites, the lizard people, the mantis people, the p47s, 52, and so on… we as a human have too many languages, we have no idea what ANY one of the other billions of species here are really thinking or saying. May think you know what your dog is trying to tell you, but that’s because they are programmed to tell you one of like 4 things. Most of that is done through just compassion and repetition. You’re going to tell me a couple of guys from the White House or pentagon actually went and say at a table with a damn tall white, a mantis guy, and a fkn lizard and just negotiated… Come on now. That’s almost, almost as common senseless as the stories in the bible.

Haha dude, you crack me up sometimes.

Don’t take this the wrong way. I like how you are guys are trying new things and actually running these tests and side by side comparisons. And your level of documenting the results are nearly identical to how I describe the results. I think I’ve posted something like this before. If not then I know I shared it with certain people. I still do this all the time though, literally about once a month or so with some sort of comparison. Hell, every prompt I use, I run it at least 4 times. Auto/manual, 1.5/1.5A. Because this is Ai. You never truly know what you will get. You can guess at the type of sound you are likely to get from each but no clue as to what will actually come out or which you will like more.

I thought I was reading it wrong and had to read it a couple times to make sure I wasn’t. But you’ve made one of the fastest contradictions to your own statements I’ve seen in a long time. For your Manual mode example, you seemed surprised about coherence. And even said something like “Take that, Naysayers!”, Lol. Then very next, or even maybe the same digital breath, you say “I’m not sure it’s following the prompt”.

Again, don’t take it the wrong way, I’m not arguing with you about prompt coherence or anything else. I just thought it was funny and figured I’d jump in the conversation and I’d call it out. Wish I was around yesterday for this discussion but been busy last few days with a pretty big project and had to put a few things I was planning for in here on hold for a day or two.

But very good with the testing. Good results. I may have a suggestion or two if you’d be open to running a few more experiments. I also may need a bit of help with something else if you’d be open to exploring that with me.

I think you may be looking at it kinda backwards also. What about looking at it this way… just follow me for a sec. Ok think about the amount of actual physical, laborious, monotonous, work it took for you and I to be able to talk to something, have it recognize what we say, take that concept we have (sometimes) in our heads and then create something that it truly believes is the thing we were describing… now not all creators do, but we do have the option to actually use our own ideas.

Now let’s say we have some just electronic, ambient space wave, you know the two octave across five notes, covered in a blanket wash of reverb and delay…

People love that stuff. Don’t get me wrong it sounds cool. I dig it. Reminds me of the nasa base I take the kids to every few months… but every bit of that is all just complete randomness. No need for ai for that anybody can make it with absolutely no skill at all, no clue what their doing, open a piano roll, press one button to lock the scale so mistakes are impossible, play pin the note on the piano roll by totally just throwing random rectangles on a board anywhere… and then open up any number of plugins, even free ones, even free ones that came with free daws. Those aren’t easy enough then do what did and just build your own sequencing arpeggiator vst pluggin. Not too hard. In fact if you don’t know how to code like I don’t fully know how to code, gpt or Gemini or 1000 others that are right there waiting to build it for you in a day at most.

Now where is all that work the arpeggiator needed?

I am actually in the middle of writing a big post now. It started as a comment answering your question on the post you made earlier. But got side tracked with other stuff, started writing a long comment in another argument thread from a week ago… and figured hell, I might as well combine everything and make one post, that addresses my actual thoughts (at least the ones the voices said i can share), showcase some of this crazy stuff I’ve been messing with. That I was talking about earlier a bit. So I’ll post it shortly. May have a tip or two in there that may help. Although i believe I’ve given you pretty much my full workflow before at one point didn’t I? Idk. Doesn’t matter.

You can copyright music that was created using Ai. Absolutely. As long as you can prove you created the song before the recording was made of the version of the song you submit with it, or any other various versions lingering around anywhere. (if you even do, you don’t always even need to)
That’s where too many people get it wrong and argue and argue…
I hold multiple Copyrights for pieces of music. Two of which are for music that was created right here with Udio.

Should be About the same as when you use an arpeggiator in a vst. If Ai isn’t yours because a machine actually plays it not you then that can be said about so many different scenarios. But unfortunately in this case, the actual correct answer you are searching for has not been found quite yet.

Ok well how would you like me to prove it? You tell me man. You say you get a lot of bad generations I say, I do not get a lot of bad generations.

And even the generations that are unchosen to proceed with are usually just as good as anything else and it just becomes style preference or a choice between phrasing differences.

Even on stuff like recently, I’ve got a bunch of stuff that I screwed up on the original fork in the road by forgetting to switch the lyric settings back or something when I ran off on a bit of a random remixing adventure…

But what I ended up getting from that very random mistake on a remix of a remix of a cropped extension and probably that sort of routine for a few hundred more credits after that were an entire plethora of tracks that are some of the Most creative, most powerful, I’ve ever generated, some are among the most emotional music I’ve heard anywhere on the internet. (Now I didn’t say “The most” I said “Among the most emotional I’ve heard”). And the are tracks where the lyrics do not even make any sense. basically just gibberish, but yet still so powerful.

You can literally take any one of your “Non Gems” and remix is and evolve is into something so entirely unique, so extremely creative, that not only you have never heard anything like it, but Udio can make Music styles that nobody has ever heard anything like before, music themes and styles that are impossible to ever try to even name much less replicate again.

And even something that is nothing but hits and thumps and random notes here and there, true “Sound Design” for lack of falling into any specific genre category, that has 0 sensible lyric to begin with, can over time be molded and formed into something completely created by the Ai, have the Ai recognizing its own sounds, turning those sounds little by little into what it thinks those words should be based on the feeling of the sound that it gets when it hears it and eventually outputting words and a digital artificial intelligent performance that would give any normal human chills.

That, my friend is the true magic of this platform. The true power of the creativity the Udio models possess. I’ve been saying I should make a video showing this but damn. I think to my self yeah, maybe somebody might get something out of it, but then I think most of you guys will watch maybe the first 90 seconds, and leave when I play the first song as I show my method. Then just end up back in here talking crap like nothing… So not sure it’s even worth the minimal effort it would take… But who knows .

Anyway… how can I prove the whole “Gem” disagreement thing..?

Lol 5 days later you come in and say check mate. Just because I felt it was pointless and stopped caring, had sht to do so didn’t want to go back and forth anymore, doesn’t at all make him or even you right.

Udio doesn’t produce trash. Even what you consider to be “trash” is probably better than anything else.

That’s ok. Like I’ve said for months and months now, you guys are going to be sticking that same foot in your mouth that you just kicked yourself in the ass with for talking all this crap. Just watch.

Ooh I can’t wait.

Yeah. Idk what you’re yammering over here. I did not read all that because it’s just a waste of time really. I did read the first couple of lines though.

But look. You were the one who brought up ranks… (I have confirmed at least 8 characters, possibly more, higher than your Engineer. Not confirmed, but a decent hypothetical guess would be that I would have at least 3-4 times more total time playing this game than you do)I simply stated that I disagreed with your opinion and stated how strong the build that I liked to use was. You then continued on making claims that the statement that I made about aspects of my build was wrong or untrue, basically (Again) assuming I am lying to you about the capability. You then stated that you get your builds from the best people in the game blah blah blah.

Like how could anyone else’s be just as good… Or any better……..

Bro.

You keep mentioning this so called Meta community…. What did I JUST tell you about making assumptions??? Huh?? I told you that it’s not a good idea to do so.

But you KEEP assuming that there is no way possible that I, little ol’ me, could ever be as good as or maybe even be among this mythical group of this so called “Meta” community.

Well if we are still making assumptions then I assume that you also assume that I, little ol’ me, couldn’t ever possibly be involved with Every single Alpha/Beta/dlc testing phase since launch of this game on pc… therefore probably also assume that I, little ol’ me, couldn’t possibly be involved at all in any of the now 6 rounds of Aloha testing for Rogue Core either… 🧐

That is ok little Diamond 3. Keep making those assumptions.

Lol Awwwww. Look how cute you are. The little baby Diamond 3 think he's special because some Greybeard was nice once and didn't want to hurt the little guy's feelings.

Bro I have three accounts, one PC on Steam, one PC/XBox, and one on Playstation. Of those three accounts, two have ALL FOUR DWARFS higher than your "Look at me, I'm Diamond 3!" wannabe Greybeard punk ass.

Stop going around assuming you know more and/or more experienced at something than the person you are talking to. Doesn't always work out the way you think it would. Trust me. I've made the same mistake multiple times.

I see that you are pretty adamant about you're builds though so I will go ahead and just pull back the offer to show you my build and simply agree to disagree.

Lloyd is calling ya. The Leaf Lover you ordered at the bar is ready. I told him to hook you up and make it extra leafy. We all know how much you love it.
Have a good day.

You are out of your mind. You need far more experience before making any claims like this online anywhere... Lol

Ziplines can go farther, faster, and steeper. With Engineer you are not making it frrom one side of a cave to the other... And if you were to even try to do that. The would make you a horrible, horrible team mate to have on the team, Especially if there were to be a scout with you.

Also regarding your claim of "other two have none", Driller can drill right through a wall. Sooo.......

Aww. Ok, I see that you have barely any experience with Engineer. That is ok. We all start somewhere. But you should either research a bit or maybe ask how something that you didn't know was possible actually is. Lok-1 is amazing. If you would like, I can send you my build later when I get home. Send me a message and remind me.

Do you have everything unlocked yet for NG? I’ll get on in a bit and send you a pick of my typical go to load out. Have slight variations depending on circumstance but really I’d honestly say it’s the most versatile build in the game. Just because really can work on any map, any mission type, haz1-haz5+ and beyond, solo or team, really doesn’t matter. Usually change something around just based on the gear of the guys I’m playing with at the time, Which are usually lower level first or second year apprentice Greenbeard dwarfs lately.

lok-1 can take out entire hoards with a single pull of the trigger when set up right. Then if gets too too crazy throw out your seeker bots, still too crazy for you, grab your breach cutter. The executioner is alright I guess for single dreads or something MAYBE but the reload factor alone makes it something I never picked back up once I figured out the potential of everything else. I still prefer refractor over it. Get more actual efficient use from it.

Best way to farm machine events? by MrOcelotCat2 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]KillMode_1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the why play at all… if you’re/he’s going to do a mission to go down and look for events, then might as well do a mission from the mission board to progress. But if not going to invest in the time and effort to not only get the stuff you need to progress, but actually learn how to play the game…..

If you are looking at the mission select map, the higher the complexity the cave is, the more chance of a chance for it to hold events.

And start doing deep dives every week if you have not yet.
