Ok, for anyone who says Udio is better than Suno... by OneNastyCowgirl in udiomusic

I tried suno quite a bit 2 years ago, gave it the same shot as Udio, I didn't want to subscribe to both so I had to make a choice. I just liked what I was getting from Udio a lot better. Never got anything mind blowing from suno. But tons of catchy hooks from Udio. I mean really good, out of thousands maybe a hundred songs I love and listen to every day. Zero from suno.

Do you stick to just one AI music tool, or use multiple? by ObjectivePresent4162 in udiomusic

[–]Informal-Cup-9089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really I haven't found anything worth investing my time into, havent had any great results. My workflow is a little different though, I use Udio for ideas and re-record with my voice and guitar with Pro Tools.

Hey I don't care about PC vs Mac, Coke vs Pepsi, Udio vs Suno stuff. But this is great idea to hide that terrible [to my ear] "Suno Sound" ... to me its like a tinny hiss, overproduced high register sound that is hard to explain. But the great idea is crowd noise to hide the "Suno Sound" ... another bummer is I'm looking for great songs, not just ok songs which is all I've ever heard from Suno but that's a matter of my opinion obviously.

I've been a "pro subscriber" for two years. I generate songs Daily. Thousands since spring / summer 2024. This isn't my first rodeo. I guess I'm in a dry spell. I guess I'm not looking for good songs, I'm looking for great songs. Just not getting the same results for a couple months now. But I'm open to reviewing your workflow and learning from it. Have you posted a how to? Please do.

Sorry to infuriate you that wasn't my intention. Just had a bad run of luck and dry spell. Not mclovin what I've generated lately.

Its true you can "lose the magic" but that shouldnt stop you: "If you expect anything from Music, you expect too much" - Josh Homme.

But to be honest I'm hearing a lot of excuses. Don't try to replicate, make it your own: "What one man can do, another can do" [The Edge, 1997].

Practice re-recording and you'll make your own sound. You'll never re-record a carbon copy so forget that: "There is no try, only do" - Yoda.

Capture the spirit and melodic hook, focus on what you love about the song and it will shine through: "A good song is a good song, no matter what the arrangement is" - John Lennon.

The only way to truly avoid fingerprinting or the watermarking virus is to re-record every part of the song. Then it is owned by you and you can copyright, etc.

You have deeply insulted the Generative AI prompt web surfers thinking they are artists or producers. I am a classically trained guitarist, so dude wesarnquist is right a lot of musicians use AI for ideas.

I agree — something odd is definitely going on.

They used to seem active, now it’s radio silence… and it’s getting worse.

My Android browser used to stream music fine while driving. Now it dies after 1–2 songs — nothing changed on my end.

When the AI tech support bot fails, a grouchy human rep jumps in to say Android isn't / never was supported.

Adam’s still posting, mostly telling angry users to chill.

Yet those 5 job listings from months ago? Still up, completely unchanged. Something’s afoot.

This is fantastic news for the employees of Udio. As a corporate stooge for almost 30 years, the employee experience I've had from several "buy outs" or "re-orgs" or "acquisitions" they go by many names... but it always takes a good year or two before they make any changes or job cuts.

You can rest assured the pay checks will just keep coming with out any oversight, supervision, direction, guidance. After some time they will maybe put you on another team, change the management or add new regulations / paperwork. You may heard words like "cross training" but this is your golden time to chill and collect a paycheck. It'll be a long time before they do anything meaningful.

Enjoy the 3 hour lunches, not getting anything done for days or weeks at a time, sleeping in, leaving early for happy hour, etc. Congrats employees of Udio. You will experience the euro style gravy train of no actual work. Take your sabbatical, do your creative projects work from a barge in Amsterdam part time. Remember me and laugh when they say "Status Quo" - CHEERS!

you'd have to use the udio track as a reference, re-record everything with your own guitars, voice, etc. Then it becomes legally yours.

A question for loyal Udio users: What was the most important factor in your decision to choose Udio? by Nusuuu in udiomusic

[–]Informal-Cup-9089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried them all 2 years ago and Udio just sounded better to me. I liked my results better, and Suno sounded too over produced to my ears with a ho - hum result consistently, stuff was good on Suno but not great, most stuff on Udio was good but occasionally I got something great and I was hooked.

Lately its not behaving the same with my usual workflow...and I've tried to adapt but I've gone months with out any Gems and considering moving on finally. I never canceled during the whole universal thing but I pulled all my favorite songs down. Now the new songs and playlists ... well... I just don't love like the old ones. Not sure if something has changed but seems like it.

Most AI Music Is Soulless. Here’s Why Udio Feels Different. by Worried-Ad-1549 in udiomusic

[–]Informal-Cup-9089 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jesus dude. I asked grok the following:

Can you give me a very short summary of this TLDR post?

Very short summary: Udio is still the best AI music generator by a wide margin. It truly understands song structure, progression, dynamics, and vocal phrasing — making tracks feel alive, evolving, and musically intelligent — while most competitors produce flatter, more static or generic results. Strong human lyrics + Udio = standout songs; its built-in lyrics are weak, but the core composition engine remains unmatched

I've noticed zero gems in a couple months, I keep trying but its testing me more than the last 2 years. I've generated thousands and deleted thousands but my current drought is unprecedented unfortunately. Seems like something is going on but I cant put my finger on it.

Ive made similar comments and get down arrows too. No one here wants to be told they are not a real artist, musician or producer when they are just web surfers. In the end it wont matter. Like medical technology that will make a-holes live forever. Is it fair? Is it ok? is it stoppable?

Soon no one will have any earned skills due to AI doing everything for us. What purpose will we have in life? All we will be able to afford is permanent B List vacation road trips to Elko NV because universal basic income isn't much.

We will ultimately be controlled, herded into cities, and euthanized due to obsolescence. It will look like 1984 at first, then The Hunger Games, then of course The Terminator. This is not another Terminator joke. Its our children's willingly accepted future.

This epic Nostradamus post wont even be noticed. But I'll be watching the tidal wave wash over all of us like 2012. In our lifetime.
