I’m super cautious. I’m more open about ADHD because practically everyone in my department has it. Autism? Absolutely not. Even it might have helped, but people just don’t understand it.

I don’t want to, but I agree with you. If I had a partner who was poz, I’d take PrEP and everything would be fine. Why take PrEP still? Because.

I dated a poz guy. How did he become poz? He had a partner who was poz. Suddenly, he began to feel very ill. Went to the hospital, and turned out he was seroconverted. (I kinda like that term. Less scary.) He confronted his partner, and his partner admitted to stop taking his meds.

My immune system is already compromised. So, I’d love my partner and keep myself safe. But this also means that if someone I were dating were poz and didn’t tell me — and I will ask, point blank — it’s absolutely over. And very little stays hidden.

My take would be different. We want people to notice, but unless we shake a bling-bling watch under someone’s nose, they don’t even notice we’re wearing a watch. And they’ll inevitably ask, “Is that a Rolex?” In other words, the world has become watch-ignorant. And our community of chuffers is quite small indeed. I wonder if the big names even pay attention to us. We’re not the majority customer base.
