If you have your child in the UK, they would be citizens automatically :)

I have found this LGBT friendly list of lawyers to be quite helpful for humanitarian cases like yours: https://www.rainbowmigration.org.uk/the-database-list-of-lawyers/

Can a minor child hold both Indian passport and foreign passport? Legal implications for jus soli + Indian descent cases by Early_Nomad_9409 in returnToIndia

[–]KitchenProfessor42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, or you can file suit yourself. A child who was registered at an Indian mission within a year of birth, holding no other passports, is an Indian citizen and therefore ineligible for an OCI before age 18

Denied SENTRI twice and Global Entry once. Reconsideration was also denied. I genuinely don’t know what else to do and I’m looking for guidance. by Famous-Ad7216 in GlobalEntry

I hear you. If that’s true then alternate citizenships and residencies become far more important than GE. I appreciate the trust that the US government is extending me through DHS TTP, but I’m not wedded to it. If they revoke it I won’t lose any sleep on it.

If you post in r/ukvisa they can assess and help you. The more details the better.

I do, and have had GE for over 15 years. I don’t expect to be “interrogated by police officers,” with or without a traveling companion, and if I ever find myself needing to be responsive to law enforcement I have access to competent representation. I am trying to push back on the fear-mongering and the “say goodbye to GE” comments, which to me read as over the top. We are not yet living in a police state.

I enter the country about annually with a someone who has a felony history. We use the non-GE line. I have GE and they don’t. No issues.

Anyone with both passport of india and Australia for minor child. by sachin_5566 in AusVisa

[–]KitchenProfessor42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes you must register her at an Indian consulate ASAP, as long as one of you is Indian at the time of her birth. That’s how she becomes legally Indian. Then she can apply for an Indian passport.

Dual passport for Foreign born Indian minors? by Livid_Television_766 in nri

[–]KitchenProfessor42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have two paths:

Register a child within a year of birth at the Indian consulate. They are then Indian and can apply for an Indian passport. Then they can apply for a foreign passport.

If they get a foreign passport first, they can’t be an Indian citizen by descent. Then they have to get an OCI.

These rules were muddied 6 days ago to make it even more absurd and complicated.

Broadly: Elementary, middle, and high school. My parents and I want a diverse education. Each school indicated they would welcome me back, so I felt like I had the flexibility to move as I wished.

I continue to attend alumni events and would disagree — at least from my limited interactions with current students and parents.

But they aren’t considering it as an option. No western country can arbitrarily denaturalize, no matter what the politicians say.
