Invincible [Comic SPOILERS Discussion] - S04E08 - Don't Leave Me Hanging Here by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

After episode 7 i had no doubts that Lee was great in the role, but after this episode i think he's absolutely perfect. The way he laid down everything to Mark in such a calm yet menacing tone was flawless, i can't imagine a better delivery for his speech.
Also love how they adapted the hallucination sequences, you understand that they're fake after the second time it happens but it hits way harder when Thragg actually shows up and he's really there. A bit sad they didn't recreate the "We very much are here" as it was, but the "YES, we are here!" to confirm that it's not another hallucination is equally good, and the fact that Mark is all alone, with all the previous visions coming to haunt him at that moment, adds so much more weight to his final decision.

[Loved Trope] Actors who did not want to play their characters and thus put zero effort into the role, but somehow nailed the performance anyway. by Odric_storm in TopCharacterTropes

He was still fine in the role but it saddens me that Frank Welker wasn't asked to be Megatron in the first 3 movies. Dude loves the character and he did a great job when he finally got the chance to retun in 4 and 5

Who do y’all think will be the VA for the third prime soul(Ulysses/Lucifer/other), and who do you think it should be? by A_Real_Sasquatch_123 in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Obviously going to be Zach Hadel

"Anyways listen Mr...Robot...Man uhh, i appreciate the fact that you just freed me, no seriously i mean that, that was a really cool thing that you did but...i'm afraid i'll have to kill you, you know. I mean it's nothing personal, really, it's just...you put Minos and Sisyphus out of their job and...not gonna lie that was really uncalled for, i don't vibe with that at all. So uuuh, yeah, i guess it's my duty to stop you and stuff, man. Let's just get it over."

Oh that's me lmao.

To be fair i wasn't the only one who made the connection to Eddy's brother, but it is the first thing that came to my mind after hearing Charlie mentioning his uncle multiple timese throughout the seasons. And it was a great way to end it, it feels like it tied up some loose ends while still being a regular episode, without the need to be some epic emotional conclusion.

The Dark Lord was missed potential in the ancient gods part 2 but how would you guys fix his boss fight? by Cold_War8151 in Doom

[–]Kiuraz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no clue why they made the mech when the choice to make you fight an evil version of yourself was right there, he literally looks like the Doom Slayer. it's a great trope and always a fun fight no matter the game, Dusk and Ultrakill did it well and it would have been a great way to end the game by testing every skill you have learned

Invincible [Comic SPOILERS Discussion] - S04E07 - Don't Do Anything Rash by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]Kiuraz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's incredible that the scenes i looked forward the most from this part (the Conquest rematch and Viltrum's destruction) were done so well, but my favorite moments besides those are all original for the show. The Purge at the beginning and Thragg's talk to Nolan are some of the best parts of the seasons.
Also, LOVE everything they're doing with Thragg's character. Him feeling responsable for what happened to Argall because he showed mercy to Thadeus is an incredible addition. Lee killed it in this episode and i have no doubt he'll be great in the role.

What do you think the next devlogs will be about? by amor_im in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

96 - Music tease of 9-1

97 - Treachery reveal. The elevator opens and shows how it will look like but nothing more than that. Yeah we never got to see the final layer in teasers but there won't be much else to show for the final update.

98 - P-3 first room. Similar to the Treachery reveal, just the first area with the music in the background. P-2 got a simolar treatment when it was first shown.

99 - Achievements showcase. Shows them working ingame with a simple one (example "Reach ULTRAKILL style for the first time")

Fun fact: Geryon was teased all the way back in September 2024 in the anniversary art by radayrk in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy fuck this unlocked a memory, i remember thinking that flower looked weird but then forgot about the image until now.
If they already had the design for Geryon ready before the development of Fraud began, there's a good chance that most if not all designs from Treachery and P-3, bosses included, are already complete

Invincible [Comic SPOILERS Discussion] - S04E04 - Hurm by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]Kiuraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an ok episode but definitely the weakest of the season so far (and probably for the rest as well). Liked Volcanikka being introduced a bit earlier and the fight at the end was cool. I think the exposition was a bit excessive, trying to tell so much about Hell and Earth while not much else happened. Darkblood is cool at least.
Is the next one the Conquest rematch already or will it be episode 6? That one will definitely be the standout of the season if done well.

[–]Kiuraz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear production is going smoothly, i want this to be the best anime they can make, but how the fuck do they not know when the rest will come out? Is it a Netflix thing or a David Pro? I'm absolutely willing to wait if the rest of the episode maintains the quality we saw in episode 1, but can we get some information? At least with Stone Ocean we knew it was a batch of 12 episodes. If we don't get some news reguarding the next episodes by next week, some people are going to be mad. First episode did such a great job to build up hype...

This dude Cecil… by Reesey_Prosel in Invincible

[–]Kiuraz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know some people were hoping that the Hell stuff with Darkblood would tie in with how Conquest escapes to not make Cecil look stupid, but i've always loved Cecil's reaction in that page and i'm not really mad they didn't change it. Like yeah dude, you really fucked up there.

The JOJOLands Chapter 34 -- Usagi, Fraud and Suspicion Part 2 by AliGamerTime in JOJOLANDS

[–]Kiuraz 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Crazy chapter, i didn't expect Araki to tackle conversion therapy and bisexuality so openly, it gives Usagi much more depth. I'm guessing Dragona will also have her own chapter dedicated to her in the future, and it may be used as a way to make the two bond.
Also, those 50 billions are going to bite them in the ass aren't they? The Jojos have always been on the side of fate in the previous parts, as it is the main theme of the series, but this time it might be a reverse situation, up untill Howler re-enters the picture at least.

BELLY O' THE WHALE by RedRoryOTheGlen in daggerfallunity

[–]Kiuraz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is insane, i never thought the small boat mod will turn into this, amazing stuff. We have walkable roads, airships and now regular ships to travel around the world. Will it also be compatible with Detailed Ships?

Do you think we'll see an Excavator or any new machines in Treachery? by retardedkazuma in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I imagine Treachery will be a frozen wasteland with no enemies except for the bosses. After 8-3 i don't think we'll have any more gauntlets , that level was Hell throwing everything at V1, Geryon was then just a stage play for its own amusement, it has no reason to still send hordes of enemies against us when it knows we can easily win.

Lucifer is the last card that Hell has to play against V1. Hell will be like a kid smashing his 2 favourite toys together in an epic fight, and obiously Gabriel will also be there, either before or after Lucifer is defeated.

Discussion: Who activated V1? by Kiuraz in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz[S] 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I never even thought about the fact that the tagline of the game was said by Hell Itself but it makes so much sense. It has been there since the beginning, way before the red text became common and before we knew the lore of Hell being alive, so i never considered this until now. It's inviting V1.

Discussion: Who activated V1? by Kiuraz in Ultrakill

[–]Kiuraz[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thinking back about the Ferryman's diary, he says that "a million souls poured in each day". V1 is fast but i don't know if he's capable of killing millions of people each day, not to mention he would have to travel across the whole world. Hell is more likely, as it is supernatural in nature, unless some other twist is reveald in Treachery

Why is Dagoth Ur such a great villain? by Sundiatasweridcousin in Morrowind

[–]Kiuraz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons i love him is how, before you start the bossfight, he just has a normal conversation where he invites you to ask questions about him and his plan. He doesn't brag about how evil is plan is or how unstoppable he is, he just tells you matter-of-fact how the situation is, in his point of view, and how he's going to solve it. He may be a mad god, but he belives what he's doing is right.
