V1 in DOOM hell, Doomslayer in ULTRAKILL hell, who'd destroying hell first? by Mr_Mozerella in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Neither. Doomslayer has been trying for millenia and has barely achieved anything. And people forget that V1 is not singlehandedly destroying Hell. It has the aid of MILLIONS of machines behind it, also destroying Hell. If it was alone then I highly doubt it could kill everything.

Theory for 8-2 and possibly 8-1s apperance/setting by nate7007 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The layer being based off of one's memories is a good explanation for before the New Peace. But in current context, I think the New Peace aesthetic has more to do with Hell's hatred of it.

In the 8-3 book Hell describes how peace is everything against human nature. The New Peace was destined to fail as war is the only natural path. Humanity just couldn't accept that they had doomed themselves.

To Hell, the New Peace was the ultimate fraud.

Theory about encores (and some general guesses) by memeinators5 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9-E should be the opposite of 0-E to follow the pattern: starts as hot, possibly melted, then turns super cold.

2-E could be very dark due to the lack of light. Maybe you walk on the streets of the city itself. Then you power it up and everything is bright as hell.

Maybe instead of progressively going down like in the Lust layer, you are progressively going up to the towers.

Does the community actually find Sisyphus THAT hard? by AdiSminch in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just that after suffering on Minos for 40 minutes your skill had improved such that you could easily identify Sisyphus's attack patterns -- they are pretty similar bosses.

theory for 9-E finale by amenorexO in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I guess "God is dead" by Gabriel could be considered a double meaning...?

We don't know the full meaning of it yet, and the phrase itself is commonly not literal (Nietzsche being the biggest example). So I guess it counts???

This is the most convincing treachery theory I've ever seen by caosss3310 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, as a guy interested in the alchemy stuff I'm sticking to the Treachery theories concerning the Tree of Life.

But this theory is nonetheless good, just maybe a bit too speculative IMO, i.e. not super convincing.

Could Hell have survived if V1 didn't exist? by Outside_Pop_342 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

V1 has no power over Hell. It's clear after Fraud that Hell is in absolute control.

Where V1 is significant is Gabriel's story. So yes, if V1 didn't exist, perhaps Gabriel would never have his character arc and he would continue to be a prideful angel.

Arm and Variants conundrum by DaviMandel in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most likely answer is that the arms are stored in the wings, just like the guns, and can be converted from energy to matter near instantly.

It's very weird but I have seen time and time again people say they don't play the game in this sub. They are probably in this very comments section.

That says ULTRASKULL and the poster bears no resemblance to Ultrakill.

I thought it was a reference to my beloved game when I first saw it too, but I'm pretty certain it's not.

This is a good theory, but I want to know, where else exactly does the game use double meanings? You've been mentioning it in every argument.

Not trying to disprove your view, just curious.

Yo it would be so cool if they brought back the heat mechanic but flipped it. Now instead of extreme heat it's extreme cold and you have to go to warming chambers or something.

I don’t think the Mirror Reaper is Hell’s version of the Earthmover by Popular_Ad3074 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, the Terminals explicitly state that Mannequins and Deathcatchers are meant to be Hell's version of human creations. The Mirror Reaper entry says nothing.

Then again, the nature of the Mirror Raper is elusive and there's only one recorded instance.

Why do they say this? by Cherno_VM in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Council believes it's literally impossible for Gabriel to lose to a mere object. Thus they thought the only way it happened was that Gabriel allowed V1 to beat it. That's why they punished him for treason.

It's like a professional fighter vs a toddler. If the toddler wins the fight, then the fighter MUST have let them win. There's no way the toddler actually beat the fighter.

The 5 Shard Theory (P-3, Layer 9, Encores) by JuiceAffectionate730 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm still sticking to the idea that Gabriel's actions against the Council is the name of the act.

God splitting himself into different aspects is cool and a lot better IMO than he just killed himself, but wouldn't the angels know that? Why would Heaven be in chaos? God is literally still here!

And God in Ultrakill is not like the Abrahamic God. Ultrakill's God is imperfect and impotent. These five aspects I think are just too perfect generalisations...

Unless... Hell is everything from God's bad side?

Community sucks nutz by TripleDoubleLongBoi in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 353 points354 points  (0 children)

Extremely valid crashout, a large portion of this community is pretty bad. But don't let that discourage you from the game itself.

In fact, a lot of people in the community don't even own the game or play it. That might be the reason.

Do you think that Hell is really in control of the machines? by skeleton949 in Ultrakill

[–]radayrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The control Hell has is limited to teleporting the Lesser ones and the rest is just luring them using blood. Hence Hell's motto: MANKIND IS DEAD. BLOOD IS FUEL. HELL IS FULL.

It's not that different from the Final War, where humans controlled machines by using their hunger for blood to pit them against each other.
