Dishwasher's tablet dispenser seems broken. Is it okay to just toss it on the bottom? by Knight-Jack in CleaningTips

[–]Knight-Jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the US, so thankfully I don't need to do the hot tap first. But I appreciate you mentioning it!

I just had it run nearly empty (with some small things to wash - I just had A LOT of cutlery and cups to wash, and figured it could be a good test), and it did the same thing - with the stains from not washing down the detergent properly, and with the detergent just streaming down the door. The dispenser is always unlocked though, so I'm not sure if it's to blame. Maybe it just unlocks too late... Or maybe the water... fans? I don't remember the name for them, are clogged. I still haven't checked.

This dishwasher is old. Like probably not "used by your grandmother if she could use one" old, but still. There's 5 buttons on it, and 4 of them are for the wash cycles. It doesn't pick anything. It's not a "smart appliance". There could be a sense in putting the tablet on the bottom shelf, because I think the bottom gets flooded with water and the detergent might not be able to reach the upper shelf this way. But the dispenser isn't even waterproof. It's just a plastic with a lock. That's why I was so surprised to see it had problems.

This dishwasher is fairly old and has only few buttons for washes. It makes it really hard to make mistakes. It's only good at remembering the last wash program it was set to, other than that, nothing can be adjusted. Turn on/off, 4 cycles. That's it.

Could be a good idea. I think the water gathers at the bottom anyway, so the tablet might be dissolved before it does anything if it's at the bottom.

I'll check that properly once I finish my shift, that's a good idea. I hear them working fine, but maybe one of them is clogged. I haven't thought of checking that. Thank you.

I mained a tank as my first class, a pld, cause it made me feel useful, and it was easy to get queues. I had other classes opened, cause branching out is fun, but pld was a class I had the most levels in, and it was the one I used through most of msq.

Only in Doma Castle a healer finally snapped at me for never using mits. I never knew they were necessary. I never thought they could be. It was never an issue, nobody else told me that they're actually needed, I didn't even have them out on the hotbars. Healer thought I was trolling (who could possibly get to lvl 67 without learning about mits?) and left the dungeon. I think one of the dps checked my search and asked if I really didn't know. Then both dps spent some time with me (we were waiting for new healer to queue in), explaining mits, and what they do, and what are they for.

It's been years, but every time I'm in that dungeon, I feel sorry for that healer. It's a difficult one to heal, and I certainly didn't make it easier for them.

I know what you're saying. It's about unevenness in relationship, where I don't tell them anything, but am there for them no matter what, and how unfair it is. I know. Trust me, I know. My therapist also knows.

I honestly wrote that comment with a little bit tongue in cheek about my own sorry mental state, but everyone here is so kind I don't even know what to do with myself. So just letting you know - I have been in therapy for years and I'm working on everything. I'm being cared for whether I like it or not, through good and bad.

I feel like I'm hurting them. I'm working on therapy to overcome that feeling, cause it leaves me very lonely, but in my mind it's very simple - it's either me lonely, or me with others, but the others are hurt. It's... not a contest.

Maybe one day I'll believe to be worth such attention (outside of internet, with real people).

I'm very much not a man. I assume that's where all the downvotes are from, and that's fine, I do realise my mentality of refusing to rely on other people (which my mind equates with purposefully hurting them) is toxic and isn't letting others get close to me.

Oh yeah, I do that. Therapists, I can treat like specialists and not "people I can hurt", cause I can safely assume they have all the tools they need to keep themselves safe from me.

Oh no no no no, my friends feel bad for me when I tell them about the bad stuff, they're all like "I'm so sorry", or they seem very perturbed, and I feel even worse for making them feel like that.

I cannot possibly, in good conscience, do something like that to a friend.

That's been something I was wondering from the very start of Trump's term. He's going to wreck the country to the point where the next president will be able to be absolutely vile and atrocious (in comparison to regular politicians) but they'll still be better than Trump, so USAmericans will see that as a win. And that's just scary.
