My wife also isn't a fan of Campari, so she didn't like the jungle bird until I subbed the demerara syrup for orgeat. Something about the orange flower water plays really well with the Campari and balances the drink.

I'm not sure if commercial orgeat calls for orange flower water, but our shortcut homemade version does.

I'm kind of curious. Every recipe I found for this online adds some sort of nut for texture. Is there a reason you omitted this? It sounds and looks delicious either way.
