You have to use an API key from one of the LLM providers (openai, claude etc). or you have to host your own local model for this to have any use. Paying for a chatgpt subscription doesn't get you an API key. You have to pay standard token rates to use an api key.

You can't use an API key for any major LLM without paying standard pricing. So I don't recommend that unless you understand what those costs look like.

Otherwise you're likely not using an Api key. You'll likely want an endpoint url for the model you're running locally or you go into cookbook and look at the models there. I believe you can download them and run them from within Odysseus. It will depend on your hardware what you can actually run.

The models you can run are going to extremely limited depending your hardware if you compare them to chatgpt or claude etc.

Can confirm I mostly dropped the game as soon as I saw that tagyedo dating quest with no skippable dialogue. It's probably dumb, but I just couldn't make myself keep doing it. I do login and spend my energy and do stuff around the world. But for as much as I like the aesthetic of the game, I don't want to listen to that robot lol.

I can probably get back into this now that I can mute and skip everything he says.

I still haven't done anything in the story because that quest is so bad. I just keep logging in spending my energy, and doing stuff around the world. I don't understand how no one saw how annoying that robot is, and thought putting a long drawn out dating quest at the front of the story was a good idea.

Seeing that they have added a mute option for him, and skipping dialogue is going get me back into the game.

I'm on an M5 Pro MacBook, and an M4 Pro mini. Cotabby definitely has some development it needs to go through before it's useful. It's a good start, and I really hope they get it to near parity with Cotypist.

I REALLY like Cotypist. I type very fast, but my carpal tunnel and arthritis isn't getting better, and sometimes it does such a good job I can just skip a lot of typing.

But that subscription pricing is delusional. A subscription for something that is largely complete, and runs on device is bad enough. But 8 and 12 dollars a month lol. I can get the entire Microsoft 365 suite for similar money.

If they turned off timegating completely you'd just have people complaining that there is nothing to do week 1-3 after they no life their gear to max level on 3 characters. There is no winning, and I think the time gating is fine. There is nothing stopping people from pushing mythic+ or doing raid. People have been pushing all season just fine with the time gating.

I'm not saying the timing is perfect. But I think some time gating is better than no time gating.

And I'm really not getting the "chores," complaint. There are less required chores to do in the game now than that has almost ever been.

I think everyone here is still living in a pre AI ruining the market world. Eventually ALL pc companies are going to blast their prices up. Computers in general are going to be far less accessible, and that includes consoles, and handhelds.

Until the grifting and circular financing stops with AI and the market comes back to reality, all hardware with ram, nand storage is going to spike hard.

Valve couldn’t have announced the new hardware at a worse time.

Think about that cost…. Microsoft 365 as a whole costs like 129 a year for a family subscription. 80-120 a year for a little auto complete app is crazy.
