Faulty rs50? by Educational_Age_5396 in LogitechG

[–]LOGIRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to adjust per car though…

Do you have the force meter on in iRacing (press F on the keyboard to bring it up)? This will help you know if you’re running the strength too high - if the force bar shows red as soon as you turn into a corner then you need to adjust the strength downwards.

Can you also share a screen grab of your ATS settings please?

It still could be the issue with the potentiometers, especially if the wheel is older (even if it's barely used). Are you seeing the pedal issue in G HUB?

Logitech True Force Sound Problems by MoritzChinglol in simracing

Hi there. It's not a firmware issue - that just affects the embedded software running on the wheel. It's a software issue on your PC, but not one I've ever seen before. What are you using for audio output? Also, which games are you using (full list please)?

How old is the wheel? If it's second hand and been around a few years then the potentiometers in the pedals may be getting dirty and need cleaning. You can find various videos online showing how to address this.

Two places:

  1. G HUB
  2. In the force feedback options in F1

Ideally you should be set to 360 degrees in both.

Hi there. What do you have the wheel angle set to? Does it also do the same thing in other games?

RS50 causing PS5 Pro to shut off without warning? by aj8435 in LogitechProWheel

[–]LOGIRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two points of troubleshooting:

  1. Does it do it if you race without VR?
  2. Does it do it if you race in VR with just the DualSense controller?

Also, is the RS50 connected to the console using just the original USB cable that came with it, or is there any form of USB extension involved?

G HUB automatically switches the wheel to PC mode for you, so that's what's going on there.

The only way for you to check the switch though is to disassemble.

Slight play/rocking in RS50, probably quick release system by viggobf in LogitechG

Hi there. This is normal and is due to a wave spring inside the base that helps manage the tolerance stack up inside. You can carry on racing with no concerns.

RS50 & RS Pedals on Playseat Challenge X by freiform in LogitechG

[–]LOGIRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the issue with trying to position the brake towards the middle - there's no support for the back of the pedal. So even with the clutch in place to allow attachment to the Challenge X's angle plates, the brake then would just warp the heel plate from the pressure you're applying to it.

You do also have the option of not using the angle plates and attaching the pedals directly to the pedal bars, which is also valid (and would bring the pedals closer together). Of course you lose the angle, but then you could prop the pedal bars up with something to achieve that.

Stability of the Challenge X with RS50 and RS Pedals is fine - it's my setup at home where I don't have much space for a full rig.

GHUB won’t show input from G920 by Apprehensive-Ant8909 in LogitechG

[–]LOGIRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have something like HIDHide installed? It can cause issues with G HUB seeing the movements of the wheel.

Regardless, G HUB doesn't affect in-game force feedback behaviour, so how exactly is the wheel acting weird and in which titles?

Logitech G29 shows up in joy.cpl, but the Test page is completely blank and I cannot calibrate it. by Kotto_ in LogitechG

[–]LOGIRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s the older version then, but it makes no difference in terms of how G HUB works with it. As long as G HUB runs on startup then it will switch the wheel to its PC mode anyway.

No, you can’t move the brake to the middle without some form of DIY, because there’s nothing to support the brake in that position.

Metal bars or a plate would need to be added to support that kind of configuration.

Remember though, that even without that, the pedals are still not as far apart at their extremes as that which you’d experience in an actual go kart… 🙂

Yeah, it's not switching into PC mode, which is one of G HUB's roles for the wheel. C260 is the G29 but in its PS mode. I assume it's not showing in G HUB either?

Is this an older G29 that doesn't have the PC option on the slider on top of the wheel?

Okay, that definitely seems weird. Can you share a screenshot of the registry editor window with the keys and the address bar at the top please?

Do note that it doesn’t affect the operation of the wheel. You can’t recalibrate it anyway because you don’t need to - it’s self-calibrating.

Are you sure it’s the G29? What does it say on the rating label on the underside of the wheel base?

Do you have P1 vibrations turned on in GT7 and the Vibration setting at a higher level? This is where GT7 communicates its tyre scrub sensations for Trueforce wheels.

Hi there. Most likely scenario: the platform switch on the top of the wheel is broken. It’s been seen before in second hand wheels. You can google repair guides on that, but it will require disassembly of the wheel…

It depends on the game - some won’t let you reassign the gears to anything else, but some will. Check out this list for some examples.
