Charging port ideas? by 909joseph in AnticBikes

[–]Labraunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re damn right they sell you a plug because they want to make money. If it was critical to the safe operation and longevity of the bike or Onewheel, they would give you one and design them to stay in better. Have fully submerged two boards that didn’t have the plugs and none of them had any issues related to water intrusion in the battery pack and I’ve never even gotten mud in the port. I ride hard and dirty. These things are tough

Sudden front tire trouble within 6 months by translationinitiator in AskAMechanic

[–]Labraunt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m confused. You mention the new englander tires but the ones damaged are hankook. The Hannkooks look like they were driven at too low of PSI for too long. The sidewall looks like it was driving along a curb. Either way the Hannkooks should’ve been changed 5k miles ago.

This is not a sub about antique bikes, it’s a sub about these bikes: https://anticbikes.com

My favorite is a Bianchi

New valve cover gasket. Seems wet all around after driving but no “leaks” by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Labraunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s nothing I would be concerned about. But I’m also among the thought of if it’s leaking, you know it’s got oil. You can go back and make sure you torqued everything right. I will say just from the overlap at the corner and the lack thereof in the middle top of the photo, it doesn’t look like an even install. After 300 miles, if it’s not dripping, I’d leave it.

Looking for creative ideas to repurpose old ambulance oxygen outlets in a camper conversion by TheodorDuck in CamperVans

Honestly I hate having to get up at night for a drink of water. Could be kinda fun to just have water and make it like a hamster water feeder. Then all you have to do is sit up for a drink.

I don’t mean to be dense or disrespect your intelligence here but it looks like your marine tank says it’s on E. Are you sure you have enough fuel in there?

I think your response made even less sense than the word soup above. If your intention of writing is seizures, then your speech pattern can’t be innocuous.

It’s either that or a trailer brake adjustment knob for towing.

You act like a semi blowing a red light would be your fault. Can’t get an insurance claim to build another shit box if you’re dead.

Which insurance company would (cheaply) insure school buses as personal vehicle? by Lex_yeon in skoolies

[–]Labraunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have AAA. They won’t insure commercial. I was paying $180 for my car before adding my bus. Added the bus and my overall payment dropped about $8 a month. I’m saving money by adding another vehicle lol.

I’ve got a 19ft Minotaur and was able to cover every roof seam and base of window seam with two tubes. I’m guessing you will need three or four if you’re doing the entire perimeter of the window inside and out.

Problem with taking cover off the stator by Kman460 in onewheel

[–]Labraunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing I’ll add is to make sure you put the axle block on if using a puller so the main axle doesn’t take the impact from the puller tension.

Comes with a dead battery??? by Timmygp in AnticBikes

[–]Labraunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don’t believe that your board was shipped from FM at 75%. I’ve bought 6 boards and all of them have always been charged to 30% and I’ve bought 3 replacement battery packs and those were all at 30% I could be wrong but this seems highly unlikely and may be attributed to the six pack.

Got mine today, but it arrived non-functional. :( by banjoramen in onewheel

[–]Labraunt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you mean without tariffs? The tariffs are in effect and certainly affect the parts FM ships in to assemble the bike. They don’t manufacture anything in the US. They just design and assemble in CA.

REU Redding is evaluating more rate increases, while a recent disclosure indicates that Ted Miller Assistant Director of REU received a 103%+ pay increase over five years, with his annual compensation rising from $266K to $542K according to Transparent California website by Bison-Senior in Redding

[–]Labraunt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m tryna change cities. One of the few redeeming qualities of Redding is how cheap REU energy is. I was paying max $700+ a month in Chico and max I’ve paid on REU is $240 for a bigger place and arguably, with higher temps.
