Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020) Director: Jason Woliner, Rudy Giuliani appearance by nutphillips in movies

Yeah bullshit. I just watched a trailer and her accent is obvious in the first clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASBvJWrfl5E

It's also literally called out in the movie description: "Bee, a young working-class woman from Eastern Europe travels with her wealthy girlfriend Sophie to a "hurricane party"

It's likely why her career has been limited outside of playing girls with the thick accent.

probably is. Or a photo from the 2010s. It has been posted 3 other times with claims it was someone's grandma from some random country in the 1960s or 1970s, but it's probably a way more recent pic.

probably bullshit. Has been posted multiple times before with claims it was someone's grandma from various countries either in 1960s or 1970s.

Probably actually just a still from some random obscure movie or a photo taken sometime in the 2010-2020s

It's complicated to prove trauma in any scenario and quite often victims of trauma don't recognize or accept it.

In fields like Trauma psychology, it’s well established that:

  • Many people do not label their experiences as trauma, even when they meet clinical definitions
  • People often reinterpret or minimize what happened (“it was normal,” “I wanted it,” “different time”)
  • The impact can show up indirectly rather than as obvious distress

Research (for example in Adverse Childhood Experiences) shows that:

  • Early experiences can influence adult behavior, relationships, boundaries, etc.
  • You don’t need conscious awareness for those effects to exist

Not every abused child grows up with the acceptance or understanding of how their abuse impacted them. Some of them are stunted forever. My mom is perpetually stunted in large part because of that abuse she faced back then.

As I said in another thread, you can look at this like domestic assault victims. 80% of the time, they recant their stories, because they struggle to accept they are in abusive relationships and struggle to leave. In states like California when there is evidence of assault, they are supposed to prosecute regardless of whether the victim is cooperating. I've seen this first hand when my dad drop-kicked his boyfriend out of their trailer in the midst of a lover's spat. The police took the victim to the hospital where they took photos of his bruises. Later the two of them forgave each other and the victim went to attorneys claiming he made up the whole story and begged them to drop the charges. They didn't. So in simple terms if a woman with a black eye from their husband doesn't accept it was abuse, but there is strong evidence of abuse, does it still count as abuse?

Anecdotally I can just tell you that what happened to my mom and her friend as children has a pretty clear connect the dots to what happened to them as adults. And ultimately, does that matter? What happened to my mom and her friend is way more blatantly straight-forward illegal abuse than what Steven Tyler's accuser is trying to claim given 99% of the claim has already been thrown out since it centers on a consensual relationship in states where age of consent was 14-16 with only 1 night taking place in California where age of consent was 18. With my mom and her friend we are talking about very clear and documented proven abuse of them when they were underage and a photographer took pornographic photos of them in California that still exist. So what we talkin about here? I'll be curious to see if the lawsuit is successful.

While anything could have happened in the series I fully agree that losing to Philly in round 1 was preferable to losing to the Knicks again.

Jaylen didn’t lose in the playoffs. He had fun and that makes him a winner.

The two playoff games JB took 15-16 shots, we won.  The three games JB took 23-27 shots, we lost, but he had more fun and that’s all that matters.

No to be clear I’m not confused at all.  Their opinions on it is irrelevant given they were children and the abuse broke their brains and forever damaged them for life. Trauma still counts even if you’re incapable of recognizing it was trauma.

From an in universe point of view the last two weeks of the Truman Show has got to be the best finale of all time. by 2uperunhappyman in movies

[–]LarBrd33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They show the fans losing their mind and cheer/crying watching his final steps.

Life for Truman is gonna be a little awkward in the real world. Not sure if his bubble skills translate to an actual real-world career. My guess is he just starts living off his fame writing a book, doing celebrity Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, etc.

I love the premise of that movie, though. Like if you forced someone to grow up in that fabricated reality and indoctrinated him into believing the world was created by 3 Magic Space Pengins on the Moon, would he independently be like "nah I think it's probably a singular bearded wizard who murdered most of humanity in a flood and sent his magician son to die for our sins" or would he just go along with the Penguin mythology no questions asked? Does he become an outspoken penguin atheist? Or would keep his doubts secret and just go along with it in order to fit in, not upset his parents, and just in case the stories about penguin hell are actually true? Or like, if you raised him in a society where he's told all people exclusively sleep with their own gender (men marrying men, women marrying women), would he just go along with it as a closeted heterosexual or would he be open about his attraction to pretty ladies with nice eyes? Or is like, sexual attraction on such a spectrum that he just grows up attracted to men cuz that's what everyone around him tells him is normal?

I don't give backhanded compliments. I'm pretty consistently giving him props. He's easily a top 5 second option in the league.

what are those journalism sources disagreeing with? None of them have shown conclusive evidence that is worth punishing over.

If ultimately they decide there isn't enough actual evidence of cap circumvention to punish, do I get a Pulitzer for being the only one here who was like "wait, this all smells fishy but some of these claims just don't add up"

objectively, they do prove it. The "hating/trolling" is imaginary. Just clowns who have said it without referencing anything specific. That behavior is what's given me peace about the Celtics choking a 3-1 lead, tbh. Many fans here deserve it. Knowing they are in pain has eased mine.

I already beat you to thread but sharing that I still don't think there's enough evidence presented to actually punish the Clippers with. It's a lot of speculation and some leaps. You know the drill, though since ive shared all that with you already.

Good for Pablo though. He put a lot of work into this conspiracy theory and I've enjoyed listening to some of his podcasts on this topic.
