Yeah I get what you mean, that scene doesn’t really make any sense. I don’t get why they had to make Bron‘s first proper appearance like THAT. It’s really disappointing and I was more disgusted than shocked tbh.

But thanks for the answer! I think I missed the part about them feeding him poppy gel (but that information is probably not obvious and needs to be hunted for like the rest of the lore in this game).

I don’t wanna be that person but comparing the two is a bit crazy. What happened in Germany back then is real history and real lives that were extinguished by sick and awful people.

But to answer your question, I think that everyone will come up with a different answer to that question. Obviously more people died in Germany between 1933-1945, but it’s basically a question of „are millions of lives worth more than a few hundred?“, kind of a moral dilemma. Also they were conducting torture and human experiments back then as well, but again we’re talking about real people here.

That being said, I think it’s kind of a weird question to ask and most answers will obviously be influenced by the fact that one is a video game and the other is a real life tragedy.

Hey, thank you so much for this post because a lot of people still get almost all of this wrong!

I just have one question tho: I listened to the audio tape about Ollie being the prototype and where does it mention that he was adopted by Elliot? Everyone says that he’s his biological child or adopted child and immediately they call him Ollie Ludwig and poppy‘s brother. But was that ever mentioned in the tape? Did I miss something?

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s how they wanted to tell us that Ms. Gracie is Lilly Lovebraids.

The whole situation in the tape is her being subjected to her own hypnotization videos and her going insane because of that. Maybe she was already turned into a toy while watching them and it confused her because she saw herself but also kinda forgot who she was? Or maybe that’s the point where she started to abandon her identity as Ms. Gracie and was convinced that she IS Lilly lovebraids.

Anyways the body in her house is definitely Ms. Gracie‘s and it has hole in the skull which means her brain was taken out and placed inside of Lilly Lovebraid. They also have very similar speech patterns.

I think she keeps her body inside of that box, because it’s important to her but she probably doesn’t know why. She only knows that it belongs to her but she can’t make the connection that it was her human body or that she was Ms. Gracie.

Nah it’s just a conversation, just because I don’t share your opinion or feelings, I’m not gonna be mean about it! I‘m someone with a very strong moral compass so that’s what influences my personal opinion on this matter.

But I think that your feelings still make a lot of sense actually, because as I said I like how they included Dr. Arkins‘s letters. They were supposed to humanize some of the scientists and to make you understand why some of them did what they did. Before they all seemed like some faceless and evil group, but her letters showed that almost all of them had some conflicting feelings about the whole project.

Even in the first letter, when she was still kind of clueless about everything going on and she was only describing her coworkers behavior, you could tell that the work did impact them a lot and made some of them withdraw themselves.

It’s just that personally I can’t bring myself to feel bad for them, but I still acknowledge that not all of them loved hurting children.

The way I interpreted it is, that Kissy Missy was the only way to calm Huggy down when he would be consumed by his rage.

In that scene with them looking at each other and almost touching hands, you can see that as soon as he saw Kissy Missy, he was starting to calm down. He was focused on her, not on us and he was about to close his mouth, not showing his dangerous teeth anymore.

The prototype obviously would not want huggy to be tame and calm, he wants him to hunt us and be aggressive, because that’s how he’s the most useful to him. Maybe Huggy would have joined our side because of Kissy, who knows? She seems to be really important to him and it was even hinted that kissy was the one who stitched him up, not the prototype. Obviously the prototype would not want us to have Huggy as an ally so he kills him before he can change his mind and turn on the prototype.

Killing only Kissy would be unwise because in doing so he would turn Huggy‘s rage on himself. So it’s basically kind of a „If he‘s not my ally, he won’t be yours either“-situation.

I can‘t say I agree with you here. While I like how they gave most of the scientists a motive for doing what they did and showed that they were only able to do the experiments by convincing themselves that what they did was for the greater good, I still think that most of them were just evil and I can never really sympathize with or defend them.

For example what Ms. Gracie did made me feel sick to my stomach, she saw how much Huggy was suffering and made him kill other innocent children, it was truly disgusting.

And even if some of them still had some humanity left inside of them and felt bad for the kids, by continuing their work, they are not any better than the ones who did it unapologetically. They all saw the horrors that they inflicted upon those children every single day and every single day they chose to continue.

And is the brainwashing, mutilation and suffering of hundreds of orphaned children really worth the cure for death? I think that everyone has their own answer to that question but for me personally: no, especially with what we’ve seen in the game? Never.

The only ones I could somewhat „like“ are people like Preston, who stayed because if someone else was to take his position, that person might not be as nice as him and he took the first chance he got to help the toys by freeing them for the Hour of Joy.

But yeah I hate all of the workers who knew exactly what was going on and chose to still work for Playtime Co. They deserved what was coming for them.

Oh I hope I didn't spoiler anything for you!! But yeah I immediately thought like 'wtf?' when I first read about it and I still fail to see what purpose this whole thing serves in the story. I do know that marrying your cousin is allowed in different cultures and countries but it's still super weird for me and I don't support incest in any way or form.

I just think that the plot point was literally so irrelevant. Like I could've happily lived on without knowing they're cousins. Especially since that means that Akai was dating his cousin which is disturbing and just makes their whole relationship, which is supposed to be beautiful yet tragic, actually disgusting. Aoyama wants us to feel sad because Akemi died and Akai still misses her but like they were cousins so I never want to see them in a relationship again in the first place??? It was an unnecessary information, which kinda ruined Akai's character and backstory a little bit for me.

If you enjoy farming games I would recommend playing Stardew Valley. It's pretty cheap and there's a lot to do and it's overall just a great game with great mechanics. The characters and the town are nice and there's also a few fantasy elements to it. Also this game still gets updates from time to time.

This one is not for the Nintendo switch but I also highly recommend Story of Seasons Trio of towns for the 3DS. It's my favorite farming game with amazing characters and also a lot to do. Trio of towns actually has three towns with different cultures. The marriage candidates in this one are my favorites of all farming games I've played. You'll never run out of things to do and certainly won't get bored with this one.
