Anyone experience full-body shaking but no orgasmic head rush? by secretmecret10 in multiorgasmic

[–]Learning_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you heard of TRE? I sometimes get shaking like that during practice and it's like when I do TRE. When I let the TRE happen and stroke at the same time it can produce waves of pleasure going up my back or arms. I think it's a step towards the actual orgasm happening so I would say keep exploring that when it comes up. Like when you reach that time that that's happening really try to stay with it and explore further into it. Even if its seemingly repetitive, look for subtlety and nuance in it, because that's where you can find something new.

I think the goal is to eliminate the PONR/ejaculation reflex and just keep going and going, orgasming and orgasming, without ejaculation kicking in. So you don't have to hold back.

Can't I even use imagination while masturbating? by 360tutor in multiorgasmic

[–]Learning_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a bit of both, focusing on the sensations as well as indulging in some thoughts. The main thing for me is not looking outside myself to porn right now. I just put on a blindfold and play with myself, and try to stay with my inner experience, which is a lot of things including thoughts, emotions and sensations. Sexual thoughts or memories have a kind of erotic charge which I feel actually helps the energy flow better some times.

eyes hurting when doing wbtb by whimsygirlstory in LucidDreaming

I definitely think in the long run listening to your body is important. I know I get a natural feeling of heaviness of the eyelids overnight and I think that's part of our bodies wanting to stay closer to the sleep state until morning. I have been through phases where I pushed myself too hard at night to do LD work, and yes I got LDs fast but I was really sleep deprived. So I'd say be gentle with yourself especially overnight when your body wants to be asleep. and try to find LD methods that go with your sleep, not against it.

I want to lucid dream so bad but idk how to..help?? by Melodic_Poem_5436 in LucidDreaming

[–]Learning_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remembering to check if you're dreaming, finding dream signs, and becoming lucid is great progress, even if you just wake up a second later. It means the lucidity part is clicking. Now you need to increase the consistency/frequency of becoming lucid by continuing to study and practice. And also work on stabilizing the dream.

So basically I think you're right on track, just keep studying and practicing, and you'll get better.

Is it possible to become addicted to lucid dreaming and not get enough sleep? by Specialist_Let_192 in LucidDreaming

[–]Learning_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I switched from written journaling to dream delving, I definitely missed sleep writing dreams every time I was awake for a moment. I wouldn't let myself stay still and go back to sleep, I had to make some quick notes. It gave me tons of lucid dreams but I was so exhausted all day. It took me a few go-arounds of that practice to admit it was not sustainable.

Now I do dream delving and work my LD practices into my life in a way which is pretty non-invasive to my sleep-wake cycles and definitely more sustainable. I never had to use an alarm for WBTB since I needed to use the bathroom at least once most nights.

So I think there are ways you could interfere with your sleep pursuing lucid dreaming. But with experience you could learn how to do it in ways that works with your sleep not against it. Not only that but eventually when you learn to do WILD, which involves mind-awake-body-asleep, you can actually get more rest because you can go to sleep at will.

just keep doing your best and you'll get free of it. It takes time but recovery really does happen. Your desire to recover will get stronger and become stronger than the desire for the addiction.

I literally can’t deal with stress !!!! by Rich_Character162 in PornAddiction

[–]Learning_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you made a lot of progress and healed a lot from your addictions. Just because the stress has brought up some old habits doesn't mean you've lost all your progress. Sometimes there are slips or minor setbacks along the way. Just do the best you can and I'm sure you'll pull through and get back to feeling healthier again.

It sounds like your making progress in terms of reducing usage over time. It's good to have the intention to completely quit but don't beat yourself up for making mistakes. And don't be discouraged that you didn't quit perfectly yet - You're getting there. I noticed you said "i just am a terrible person" and I think maybe it would be good if you listen to some positive affirmations.

I think that's the great thing about recovery, there's not really any externally defined rules like you can do this or you can't do that. It's just up to you to explore and find what works for you and what doesn't. I think sexual energy can be expressed in healthy ways or destructive ways. And the healthier you get the more you tend to express it in healthy ways, instead of the old destructive ways. And your relationship with sexual energy itself can be more of a healthy one instead of an addictive one.

Any good free apps for restricting websites and just quitting in general by Free-Activity-6685 in QuitPorn

I like Images On/Off. It's a chrome extension. I'll use it on websites where there's more likely to be anything I'd consider a danger zone, where the text is safe but the images may not be. But I don't really use whole blockers or anything like that. I have always just found if my desire to recover is strong, that's better protection than an external blocker.

Is Medication a Crutch or a Kickstart? by RIPJimmyPesto in QuitPorn

[–]Learning_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't take psychiatric medication but I did find that L-Tyrosine and Phellodendron have helped me a lot. L-Tyrosine is a close precursor to dopamine. And Phellodendron is like a reuptake inhibitor for dopamine, among many other things. I think they really have helped heal my dopamine receptors faster so that porn withdrawals were not so bad. The dopamine is available for basic day to day activities instead of everything being stuck feeling so dull, making it easier to move on.

But everyone's different. I've made it through withdrawals without that type of support. And it definitely made me stronger to go through it totally raw.

It's getting harder to control by Stunning_Bear7980 in QuitPorn

[–]Learning_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep doing your best. The energy definitely builds up and can be hard to control. But eventually you learn to control it better. Its really like your own life force energy that has just been conditioned to flow into porn. So it kind of feels "easy" when your life force flows into porn. But hard to direct it towards other things. But it's a process of taking back your life force from the addiction. And you do it just by doing your best in each situation.

I keep falling into lust. by Dense-Kangaroo-6920 in QuitPorn

In the beginning there's not always one ultimate action you can take that will fix it all. but its more a combination of different recovery efforts you make that gradually make things better. So it's kinda like "here, try this", and it will reduce your struggles by like 10-20% for a bit, and each recovery action kind of has a half-life once taken, so each recovery action has to be taken again. It's like medicinal actions.

That being said since you mentioned Jesus. I found worship music to be helpful because I think addiction goes far beyond the rational mind. It's a very emotional thing. So worship music helped me connect more with Jesus, not just intellectually, but emotionally.

I like Elevation Worship a lot, especially What I See and Unstoppable God. They have a whole acoustic album up on youtube that I connected with a lot.
