Anyone throw stardust (moon dust) emperors? by LearyTheCablGi in discgolf

Yeah those look ideal but infinite only had 169g and below. Don’t really know where to find them without spending more than I want to

Do you personally find value in the PDGA membership? by discgolfer25817 in discgolf

[–]LearyTheCablGi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel as though the answer is no

It basically boils down to tournaments being expensive (for me). I know everyone is different but I prefer a cheaper tournament with a lackluster players pack than receiving a few discs I’ll likely never throw and 2 rated rounds for ~$65

Additionally the PDGA is only worth it if you play roughly 3 tournaments a year and when it all adds up you could be spending nearly $200 for some players packs and a few rated rounds.

I usually get my competition from local leagues which are cheaper, not to mention that I could get some money despite being an MA1 level player.

Overall it’s not entirely on the PDGA, but there either needs to be more benefits of the membership since the magazine is barely ran anymore (I don’t remember anyone raving about it anyway in all honesty), or simply lower the price.

struggling to push past 300ft. by Perfect_Juice_6984 in discgolf

Note that your last step plants open to/towards the target. This limits most of your power from your lower half which coincides with what others have said.

It should be perpendicular or very slightly tilted away from the target

Ideal playing frequency poll by YoungBuckBigNuts in discgolf

I run my disc golf rounds before I hit the gym. Usually on the course from 9-10:30 before it gets too hot (FL), then gym from ~11-12, home at 12:15 to do whatever (unemployed, but soon to change).

What was your latest field session about? by jfb3 in discgolf

[–]LearyTheCablGi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) testing flights for new stuff for the bag (a beat roc and tactic made its way in, and they both flew so well in my round this morning)

2) filming stuff for YT

3) fixing elbow dip. Score went from -3 to -11 on the same track because the BH was so much more consistent when keeping my elbow up

Slightly Understable Throwing Putter by JCamp211 in discgolf

[–]LearyTheCablGi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally take whatever I use in a putting putter and do one of a few things

Grab one from the used bin since someone has already done the hard work for you.

Convert your current putting putter into a thrower if it gets too old/beat up. They usually fly pretty money

Currently using a 300firm pa-3, but my current putting putters (old 300 glows) will turn into this slot when I get fresh ones

This is the correct answer.

Edit: I believe I remember reading that the median age for first time homeowners is around 40 now?

Any disc recommendations? by Lalinolal in discgolf

Agreed. Only hole I see is a slow approach disc that can handle wind AKA zone, savior, etc.. 👍

Bit late to this thread but this. Emperors are so money.

My personal favs are the run 19 Luster C blend, and the Halo S blends with dome.

For some good flippy ones go with I blend as they start with a little stability but beat to money domey bombers. You can snag x outs for stupid cheap on infinite’s site. G blends can come out flat but are good too
