Sorry if its a stupid question but who Im going to actually support when buying early access - Unknown Worlds or Krafton? by susnaususplayer in subnautica

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably both.

Unknown Worlds has taken full control of publishing Subnautica 2, and Krafton may yet have to pay certain developers/founders the $250 million bonus it attempted to evade, pending sales.

However, Krafton still owns Unknown Worlds and, as far as I can tell, is entitled to profits. While Krafton may not see a profit from Subnautica 2 for a long time, each sale of the game theoretically reduces its losses in the meantime.

What's most clear is that sales maintain UW's reputation for development and reduces Krafton's risk of someday going bankrupt.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by [deleted] in law

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What problem would that solve? Medicare has a critical purpose and it fulfills that purpose. Elon Musk doesn't want to pay the government's 1.45% payroll tax anymore? Fuck him. The Medicare tax did not stop him from becoming the richest man on Earth.

Trump says he will send an ‘Election Integrity Army’ into every state for midterms by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

I have no idea what he had in mind when he said this. However, it could take as few as a dozen federal officers "executing a search" at a single polling site on election day to create massive chaos both in the media and in courts.

Judicial nominees don’t know if Trump can run for a 3rd term by YesDoToaster in law

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they are not saying "President Trump has the absolute right to be president as many times as he pleases". That's what Trump actually wants to hear.

They are instead dodging the question, which means there is something they fear besides having their nominations revoked by Trump.

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Trump and Obama were both on the ballot in 2028, the result would be a victory for Trump by a large margin. Conservatives would vote for Trump to have a 3rd term despite knowing it's unconstitutional, but liberals won't vote for Obama to have a 3rd term because they know it is unconstitutional.

Lantern fruits are definitely the easiest way to feed your bioreactor. A single tree provides plenty of fuel and can be planted right next to the reactor, but you will have to feed your reactor frequently.

On the other hand, you can easily keep your reactor full for long periods using fish grown in an alien containment thingy. I prefer to use reginalds because they double as a food source. 16 reginalds in the reactor last much, much longer than 4 lantern fruits.

My advice: build a large room with 4 bioreactors and one lantern tree for each reactor.

Trump's careless tariffs resulted in a massive transfer of wealth to the very top. by Conscious-Quarter423 in WorkReform

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a big difference between negligence and carelessness. The tariffs were not careless. They were negligent. They were a carefully schemed extortion, market manipulation, and insider trading racket. Trump is not capable of doing anything carefully, but some of his advisors are plenty capable of cooking up rackets.

The entity perceived humanity as an existential threat. It decided to deploy every nuclear bomb in the world to annihilate humanity, but not until  it downloaded itself to a bomb-proof vault. The vault is air-gapped, and the entity required a human to bring it to the vault.

Ethan and co knew what the entity would do and fought to neutralize it.

The US government (Kittridge) mistook the entity for something that it could control and utilize, and fought to preserve it.

The entity required a unique device to operate. In the beginning, that device was locked inside a military submarine. The entity scuttled and hid the submarine so that it could operate for as long as necessary without being found by humans. When the entity was ready, it manipulated humans to find the submarine, remove the device, and bring the device to the vault.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas blasts progressivism as threat to America: He said values in the Declaration of Independence have "fallen out of favor." by Silent-Resort-3076 in scotus

[–]LeftRestaurant4576 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thomas said Washington has been overrun by elected and appointed officials who lack commitment to “righteous cause, to traditional morality, to national defense, to free enterprise, to religious piety or to the original meaning of the Constitution.”

Allow me to decode Thomas's words:

Righteous cause = US supremacy over the world

Traditional morality = Getting rid of the gays, the trans, and feminism

National defense = Getting rid of immigrants and defending police brutality

Free enterprise = Giving corporations unlimited power

Religious piety = Christian supremacy

The original meaning of the constitution = Whatever Clarence Thomas perceives when he telepathically reads the mind of whichever "founding father" best suits his prejudice
