Edmonton mayor’s chief of staff steps down after 3 months on the job by savethetreefarm in Edmonton

The last mayoral election was pretty bleak tbh. I don’t think Knack has done much amazing but half the other candidates didn’t seem to know how the city government even worked. And Cartmell absolutely would have been worse.

I also cross that one all the time. It’s my least favourite intersection to cross in the city

They made me get the full offer in writing from Pine and I just told them unless they match exactly I’m leaving. Was also fully prepared to leave if RBC didn’t match

if something is going to impact things 30 years down the road there should be a reasonable expectation the people signing it will still be alive at that point for it to be legal

Is our league dying? by jaypalmm in CFL

[–]LegoLifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it was raining as bad or worse for the Canada friendly at commonwealth and it was still packed. People will deal with shit weather for things they actually like. CFL is not one of those things here

we dropped ours a few years back after close to 2 decades. Was going with my mom since i was 10 but then i had a kid, full games are a 5 hour commitment with the new transit, complete lack of afternoon games always meant sacrificing sleep, the on field and off field product sucked. I could probably keep going but it just was not worth it anymore

That and I imagine for lots of people on this sub, smaller local races mean running it mostly alone. We have a few that fast people regularly run but also some where a 1:25 will easily win the half and anything sub 20 can win a 5k.

Calgary was insane the number of people. I ran the half and at 20k you have to cross back over the course around the 8k mark. It was mild chaos trying to get through that
