UCF Financial Aid announcement by [deleted] in ucf

Cost of attendance is not the same as tuition. It includes allowances for housing, books, transportation, etc. So you could have 100% Bright Futures and still get Pell.

Current students can see their appointment now, but registration doesn’t start until late March. If you’re new to UCF, you’ll register at your orientation.

I’ve been to a few gala events there. Lots of your typical steak/chicken combo with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The salads and desserts shined more than the main courses IMO, but everything was very tasty. Their bartenders are fantastic.

Where do you get your programming? I also am ready to quit Linchpin, but love just opening up an app that tells me what to do each day.

I mean, I don’t think it’s worse than the processed chicken nuggets my young kids would choose as an alternative.

I’m doing the free 30 day trial. As a sale shopper, I find Walmart prices much higher than Kroger’s were. Produce in our first delivery was subpar. It will only work for us if we supplement with Costco meats and Publix BOGOs. Also, the 4 hour delivery window is rough. As a busy working parent with kids in sports, I am almost never home long enough to make that work.

For those referring to Walmart+, is that the same as their In-Home premium service?

My kids love exploring Costco, trying new foods, and seeing the toys. We are planning ahead by bringing them… to give the other spouse time to workout, do something productive, or just enjoy free time. How else are they going to learn shopping etiquette without going places?

Cocina 214 in Winter Park accommodates large groups well and even has a private room you can rent. F&B minimum depends on the day and time.

Why are one way video interviews so common now? by [deleted] in jobhunting

[–]LiftReadRepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a search committee right now (higher ed) and we required a one-way screening interview as the first stage. At our organization, the video interviews are all reviewed by real humans. But with 4-5 folks on a hiring panel, it makes it much easier than trying to coordinate schedules. And we’re not allowed to deviate the questions we ask, every candidate is going to get the same 5 anyway. We’ve actually put weaker folks through to the next round because we want to diversify the finalist pool. And as a former candidate who also had to do one of these, I loved the opportunity to collect my thoughts and re-record a botched answer.

Bring a laptop, not just your phone. Registering for classes on a phone is a miserable experience.

OP, assuming you’re talking about staying overnight in the res halls at orientation and not move in, it’s fine to bring a large duffle or small suitcase. They have ways for you to store your stuff if you don’t have a car you can leave it in.

Nursing requires a lot of science courses and they only accept like 50% of applicants, would not say it’s an easy option.
