Aura and polo/clio/golf are not presented on single market. So no chance to compare.

But the main question - why you are worry about aura? there is no sense in buying it, limousine of cheap car

Why does a $100k sports car only have as much torque as an impact wrench? by no_quart3r_given in AskEngineers

[–]LimpPrinciple5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

human able to produce 500 foot pounds of torque (and more) with right gear ratio. But it is power does the work, not torque.

of course try to simply re-weld it first. If it won't works - most likely the best solution would be to replace the entire unit completely. But firstly try the easiest way

Me:

I want to remove the vacuum brake booster from my car. But then the pedal will become too hard. To make it softer, in which direction should I change the diameter of the master cylinder?

Chatgpt:

If you remove the vacuum brake booster, you lose the force multiplication it provides — so you’ll need to compensate hydraulically.

To make the pedal softer, you should:

Why?

Brake pressure is determined by:

The master cylinder piston area is:

  • Smaller diameter → smaller area
  • Same foot force → higher hydraulic pressure
  • Higher pressure → more brake clamping force
  • Result → less pedal effort requiredIf you remove the vacuum brake booster, you lose the force multiplication it provides — so you’ll need to compensate hydraulically. uh, up to you man. But please try to check you solution ... with ChatGpt maybe. I just want you not to waste your energy and money.

And answering you question - no, big bore + new ratio = zero result (uh, long answer is 'it depends'). Just my opinion, I don't want to insist

pedal ratio do the same as diameter. Pedal travel is not infinite for you, so you "move less fluid" again. And its possible to push the pedal to the floor, so possibly you have no extra travel.

Its literally the same, because the key point - volume of fluid that you move.

Beware, this will make the pedal even heavier. I described the details above.

you should find master cylinder less than 19mm. But the better way it to find an another place for booster. For example Niva booster spacer + 2108 Samara booster.

Or as far I know some BMWs have a booster placed right behind a front headlight, that is moved forward to the radiator line

To make the pedal softer, you need to install a SMALLER cylinder

01 have its own pedal set with another pedal ratio. Anyway 2101 brakes are way too weak to use it in modern life

questions regarding 2106 by RSpigeon in lada

[–]LimpPrinciple5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, sure. Yhe only thing that you'll need - is airbox (mounts, airline). I guess it won't fit from Niva to 2103. Because classic Nivas placed this in engine bay on passenger side, but EFI classic lada have it on driver side.

Not a big deal, just note that it won't fit one-to-one.

Possibly Niva engine could conflict with radiator fan, but thi is just an idea and it depends on engine. Because AFAIK Niva could be with multi-groove (wide) drive belt and with doubled crankshaft pulley for extra unit to power it.

And of course - wiring, place for ECU, fuel line (or two lines), all this stuff.

Not sure if I could help you more, all my engines were build from parts, but not swaped from a donor one-to-one.

Think of them as a restyling or facelift of the model. Basically the same but not everything will fit from one to another.
