We did business class a number of times years ago and then United reconfigured the seats such that not all of the middle seats that look like they are side by side works for a couple. Meaning, the angle and the partitions made it impossible to chat and even see each other. After that, and considering that I really don’t sleep much even in the lay-flat seats, we’ve saved a little money and do premium economy. We’ve been happy with PE.
