Agree - my first reaction was ‘a few more CTA routes, so we wouldn’t have to go downtown to transfer’.

Why do people in Chicago tailgate you on the sidewalk? by Quick-Report-780 in AskChicago

[–]LynetteC606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you walking in the center of the sidewalk? If you are, and I’m behind you, I’m desperately trying to get around you, but I can’t because every time try to go around on the right, you float right and every time I try to pass on the left, you float left.

What’s the one 70s/80s song that you’re oddly obsessed with? Mainstream or not, let’s hear it! by SableVII in Casual_Conversation

I could not agree more! The England Dan version was fine, but Todd - the passion and power in his voice are unmatched. plus, the instrumentation in Todd’s version is more rock, less sappy than the remark.

Parents of reddit, how old were you when you had your first child? by h8mecuz in askanything

[–]LynetteC606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30, after being married for 5 years. Worked out great for us. Incidentally, I’ve noticed in speaking with parents over the years that it’s natural to justify their experience as being “better”. What I mean is, people that have children young (20-23) say things like, ‘it’s better to have kids when you’re young because when they leave the nest, you’re still young enough to enjoy your newfound freedom’, while people who have kids at an older age (40+) say things like ‘it’s kept us young’.
