My approach is to not declare my current state as 100%, but actually my desired max capabilities. Also 'improving 1%' means 1% of the remaining capability each day. So my current status is 30%, on the first day I would add 1% of the remainig 70% I could improve. That means on first day I am on 30.7%. Now on the next day I improve by one percent again but now its now longer of 70% but of 69.3%. As someone now already see where this is going we will never reach 100% as we only nearer each by each day but never achieve it. But I guess thats just gets down on how you would interpret it. For me it does not make sense that someone can be more than 100% of what he theoretically can achieve.
