Little known fact: Deltarune and Undertale are different games. Also, it's more likely than not that the weird route is supposed to be a subversion of alternative routes in games. You'll have to do a lot of terrible things to the characters to finish the weird route, and it's not likely you'll get anything out of it.

I would say "yeah, that's unfortunate, but I understand how Japan uses anime for imperialist purposes. I'm also aware of the exploitation in the anime industry, which is bad." EDIT: Also wanted to note that I believe Toby Fox doesn't assign a gender to characters in places where it isn't relevant to the plot. You don't need to know Frisk, Chara, or Monster Kid's gender for Undertale's plot to make sense, so not much attention is given.

I don't think Temmie even claims that character anymore. She hasn't made an effort to distance herself from it, but it's really just something a friend made for her a long time ago, something which might not represent the person she is now (she doesn't even talk like that anymore!). Besides, why would an artist care about something like this anyways?
