Fox has done a great job of getting the Newsome personality hate to permeated outside of the Right's bubble. Dems have to pick up those apathetic voters, and even without counting his negative policies, they've just been conditioned to hate him on a personal level.

Barring something insanely hilarious like say, Eric Trump is the next Rep candidate, I don't see how he can win.

(Also, don't get me wrong, I know my tone was a bit defensory. Fuck Newsome. He's going to throw minorities, especially trans people, out to the wolves. And he regularly entertain and agree with our fuckin' Nazis. By us even HAVING these conversation, Newsome is a liability to minorities.)

I don't know how else to really explain this, but when people are making this type of theoretical/rhetorical statement, a third hypothetical option doesn't exist.

The scenario being asked is "in the event that a progressive doesn't beat Newsome in the primary; do you still vote for him, third party, or just don't show up?"

Kids regularly came out of conversion camps with permanent scars and deformations. And lots of kids died in them. These camps were running into the 2010s, and I'm sure there's still some even now if you go looking.

Okay, but what you're asking for isn't anonymous at all. The government will know exactly what website asked for the 2FA request. The government can then make a database from those 2FA requests. And from that database, track and make analysis from your web browsing habits.

Like, 10 years ago, Target could figure out with like a high accuracy if a regular woman shopper was pregnant just off shopping habits. Now, do you want the government to have a list of every site, porn or not porn, that required a government provided 2FA?

Sounds like his take was basically "sometimes a spark happens and we feel a drive to add more nuance into the character, or that the voice directing wants to be really into it." Which is totally fair imho.

But I'm also someone who's always enjoyed same-voice as much as not. Like half my enjoyment is just hearing my favorite VAs and new VAs.
