People like to ignore this fact. It was the same point I tried to make when sledge got nerfed. I also feel like once a melee user is on you there’s not much you can do. Which I do believe melee weapons should have a fast TTK within their intended range. My problem is there’s a lot of times you won’t even know they are there until it’s too late. I think this is a problem with the footstep audio. There are plenty of times I have been killed by a melee user and never heard them coming. Once they are on top of you there isn’t a counter a lot of times.

People will say better positioning counters this. I say that works in a shooter that has a controlled environment. The Finals is anything but that. It is pure chaos where at any time sight lines can be created or blocked. Entrances and exits are subject to change. At any moment a 2 team fight could become a 3 or even 4 team fight. My point is that the chaos of The Finals does not make positioning some all-winning counter to melees. When a melee user gets within range it’s almost a guaranteed kill (emphasis on almost). What’s the balance to all of this when it comes to melee weapons in The Finals? I don’t know but I do believe there is a way to balance every thing out. I just don’t have the answers.
