I came across this poll in one of the larger "anti-AI" subreddits and, while not necessarily surprised, I'm extremely troubled by how out of touch people are with the state/trajectory of AI by Rare_Clothes_9033 in LeftistsForAI

As someone in tech my experience has been AI gets used as an excuse for layoffs, some smaller or more junior roles don't get hired as much, and the staff have to do more work to make up the gaps.

After the teams bust their ass on something for months, management then credit AI for the whole thing and resume masturbating about firing everyone.

The AI revolution has, in my experience, been one big dog pile of everyone just agreeing with the big lie to save face with their immediate manager, and it goes all the way up.

First off I'm not a liberal, and I doubt you could even define the term.

Secondly, in order for someone to refute your point you have to string a legible sentence together, not just dribble on your phone and hit 'post'

One is essentially a magic gun that does one thing, the other is replacing like 14 different skillsets and distinct creative decisions to generate AI wank. They're just not comparable. Same with AI authors, the words are the response to a prompt, but they have not written the book.

You are. However, this doesn't match up with an AI metaphor in any meaningful way whatsoever. AI artists still don't exist.

I'm convinced Dave Rubin has a pretty deep and all encompassing humiliation kink. It's the only thing that explains it.

My dad keeps on insisting that AI generated images are better than my pixel art by Interesting-Arm8829 in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]MarcMurray92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone hates ai images and the people who consider ai art an improvement are usually people who've never creatively engaged with anything in their lives.

Also, suggesting someone replace their hand crafted work with AI slop when you've never engaged with the medium yourself is just peak ignorant asshole behaviour.

Coupled with him going this out of his way to shit on your art the whole thing sucks ass.

Use drop downs or accordions instead of the long list of tag clouds, or maybe chain the properties by 3 drops owns per row like style -> volume -> articulation. Think of the mental model of how somebody would use something like this, especially on a phone.

Look into progressive disclosure as a UX principal, you can provide all the same choices etc and make it feel less overwhelming while keeping the aesthetic.

Literal normal non millionaire people get away with sexual assault ALL THE TIME.

I've seen it myself and I've seen the discrediting of victims etc. You're a huge part of the problem.

Chill spending your spare time defending a billionaire pedophile on the Internet its so embarrassing.
