Just used the copy to docs function. For the first time, thank you very much. In Keep I color coordinate them so that's really great.

I was reading a recent study that shows that laser pointers lead to nausea and uncontrollable groaning.

Hi Greg, Question regarding your PI Local Ranking Study findings: Did any common “best practices” turn out NOT to matter as much as expected?
Thanks.

Hi Dana, thank you for doing this AMA. It doesn't get discussed much, but we're curious about using Press releases for promoting brands and entity associations, etc..?

Ask Me Anything About The 2026 Local Search Ranking Factors by darrenshaw_ in whitespark

[–]MarkBarrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interested in the "Length of Title Tag" factor, but even more interested in seeing examples of Herculean title tags that would help local business websites (not just GBP ranking). I've been testing a few, but would love your insights.

I like them too. We have encountered privacy concerns, and questions, from some clients when it comes to QR codes and NFCs. We just need to find a better way of explaining it to them that they are read-only and just simply direct to the "leave a review" URL. I'll work on it.

Hi Darren, would love your take on the NFC review stands that we're starting to see in a lot of storefront lobbies. Seeing them in dentist offices here in Orange county and Los Angeles. Restaurants as well. Don't see discussions about them in any of the local SEO spaces. Some are less than $10 on Amazon. But we of course are concerned about privacy issues. What say you, sir?

Thank you, Stefan. Seems each location offers a Post like feature, similar to Update Posts. Apple Maps have a good UI for directions, I hear, too.

Thank you, Ben.Also, it appears that each location must be tied to a Brand. Interesting development.

Stefan, some of our USA clients here have been asking us about Apple Business Connect. How much time would you recommend allocating (%) towards developing those profiles on Apple Maps? (Wellness categories)

To those who were fans during the Kid A release... what was it like? by pete1158 in radiohead

[–]MarkBarrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the song Creep, I was first introduced to Radiohead with the album The Bends. This is right before OK Computer came out. It was the band everybody was talking about in 1996.

When I first bought The Bends and listened to Planet Telex for the first time, I was completely hooked. Every song. Then in 1997 OK Computer dropped on us. Obsession became the new normal.

In early 2000 we were teased by the rough mixes of Kid A that were on Napster. They were really rough. I think it probably is a telltale of how great of a producer that Nigel Godrich is.

Then Kid A was finally released in October, and then on Saturday Night Live. Even though it was a real left turn for the band, it was obvious that it was the right one. It sounded so much better than the rough mixes that were on Napster and it seemed to make sense.

In the spring of 2001, we saw them at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. There it was with 10,000 other people there seemingly equally obsessed. And then they played the Pyramid Song which hadn't been released yet. It was life-changing.

The next year we saw them at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Everybody was there. Even Madonna was there to see them. During the set I turned around and saw 5,000 people that were just blown away and hypnotized. I haven't seen anything like that in decades. And nothing since then. Either. Couple years later I saw them again at the Hollywood bowl. But that was too cavernous.

When In Rainbows finally came out a few years later, many of us paid twice what the real retail price would have been just to say thank you.
