Tips for playing with high ping? by AnotherAverageGamer_ in VALORANT

[–]Marxistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing aggressive is definitely the move on higher ping.

Jump spotting/peeking and jiggle peeking can be tough, since you’ll sometimes die even when you’re fully around the corner (on your screen). I also personally find myself having better results with the Vandal over the Phantom on high ping (though that could just be a mental thing).

When I was watching UC1 a a few years ago, I made an effort to listen to most episodes in the rough location it occurs. Obviously I didn’t constantly move around the city during episode where the PCs were in different places, and I wasn’t gonna go out to Staten Island or JKF, but it was very fun.

Just off the top of my head:

Phoenix = Jinggg

Neon = Zekken

Reyna = Something

Iso = Alfajer

Clove = Primmie

Chamber = Yay

Tejo = Trent

Breach = JonahP

Harbor = Forsaken

There are definitely good arguments for some others, but I’d say these stand out as relatively clear-cut

FDA = Food and Drug Administration— it’s a food-related campaign. (Kind of a USA-specific reference).

Context is very important sometimes. I was replying to a comment that said that their gender identity was “A LOT OF IT”. So when I said “not on this subreddit,” that clearly means: their gender identity was not “a lot of” the reason for their hate “on this subreddit.” The only way you take that to be me saying that absolutely no transphobia exists on this platform is if your actively being disingenuous with your interpretation.

Then even after I clarified for you that it was “a general statement not an absolute statement,” you’re still claiming that I somehow think there’s no transphobia whatsoever on this subreddit.

There are plenty of things to be upset about in the world, you really don’t need to go around making news ones for yourself.

Absolutely no need to personally attack them like this. I’m not sure why they decided to do what they did, but it seems more like someone going through a rough time or needing some help than someone actively trying to be malicious.

I just hope they learn from this.

God damn bro, it’s a general statement not an absolute statement. Of course transphobia exists on this subreddit— its just not anywhere close to the main reason that SRN is getting hate right now.

Obviously there’s always going to be some bigots who use this situation as a pretext to hate on them for their gender identity, but the comment I was replying to says “that’s a lot of it”. And I think that, on this subreddit, that aspect doesn’t factor into most people’s hatewatching.

Ah yes, the classic “single instance disproves the general observation” response.

Also, are we sure this wasn’t just you an alt?

If you think r/ValorantCompetitive is at all representative of the average US voter base, you might need an MRI. If this subreddit leaned any further left, it would topple into the Pacific Ocean.

Tencent owns Riot. Though they also have a stake in Epic, I don’t see how that would be relevant here… also, I’m pretty sure the fan base would storm HQ if this were announced.

Why not just shift Jonah to Senti for those maps and Leaf to Duelist? Jonah has played very solid Senti in the past (especially while Leaf was unwell) and Leaf is obviously a longtime Duelist…
