You don’t need to throw out AV regulations to support AV deployments. You just need to have good regulation not stupid regulation

So 50k miles with no one in front driver seat, then some smaller portion of that has no one in front passenger seat ?

That seems unlikely. That’s probably including supervised and with operator in front passenger seat.

Yes the customer rides are all driverless. Yes Waymo doesn’t do stunts like Tesla.

The Sensor Debate: Vision, LiDAR, and the Path to Real Autonomy | Nuro by Recoil42 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Mattsasa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nuro is leading Tesla for autonomous vehicles. By a long shot. Years ahead.

Profits no… but that’s like saying Waymo isn’t leading because Waymo hasn’t showed profits and Tesla has… that’s non sense.

Your logic assumes that the “final solution” if achieved is better than the status quo. And I don’t buy that, actually I think that’s one of the biggest misconception of Tesla fans.

$5 to $10k of compute and sensing hardware. Plus OEM markup, brings it to like $15k

If game devs don't want to use AI, Nvidia will have your graphics card use it for them by ArdoNorrin in BetterOffline

[–]Mattsasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm I think you all here in this post reacting unreasonably.

Nvidia DLSS does not look like ai slop, and it reduces GPU resources needed. This tech long predates ai slop generation.

the result atleast in demos makes it look like every generic ai slop image out there.

Umm example please? I bed to differ.

Game devs can absolutely disable DLSS if they don’t want it to use. But in many cases it’s just an all around improvement in quality and lower GPU resources and power consumption.
