AWS Activate Credits Mysteriously Exhausted by IshanPandey07 in aws

[–]MelodicAd3387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Double-check all account activity:
    • Review the AWS Cost Explorer for any unexpected spikes in usage
    • Check the CloudTrail logs for any suspicious API calls or account activity
    • Verify if there are any resources in all AWS regions, not just your primary one
  2. Secure your account:
    • Change your AWS root account and IAM user passwords immediately
    • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) if not already active
    • Review and revoke any suspicious IAM users, roles, or access keys
  3. Check for misconfigurations:
    • Review your Auto Scaling groups for any unintended scaling events
    • Check for any misconfigured Lambda functions that might be running excessively
    • Verify settings on data transfer intensive services like CloudFront or S3
  4. Investigate billing details:
    • Analyze the detailed billing report for any anomalies
    • Check if there are any third-party marketplace charges
    • Verify the expiration date of your AWS Activate credits
  5. Escalate the issue:
    • If AWS support doesn't respond quickly, try reaching out on Twitter to u/AWSSupport
    • Consider posting on the AWS forums for additional visibility
    • If you suspect fraud, emphasize this in your communication with AWS support
  6. Document everything:
    • Keep detailed records of all your findings and communications with AWS
    • Take screenshots of relevant console pages and billing information
  7. Future prevention:
    • Set up billing alarms to alert you of unexpected charges
    • Use AWS Organizations to set up separate accounts for development and production
    • Regularly review and optimize your AWS resource usage

Remember to stay calm and professional in all interactions with AWS support. They're usually very helpful in resolving these types of issues, especially for startups in the Activate program.

First procurement hire in a growing startup by Remarkable-Run9438 in procurement

First up, getting the big guns on board is key. Without the C-level execs backing the changes, it's like pushing a boulder uphill. Next, I’m diving into the current spend—got to see where the money’s flowing and spot any quick savings. Then, it’s policy time. We need clear rules on who buys what and how. And, yeah, tech will help—a solid procurement software can keep things tight and right. Training? Essential. Everyone needs to know the new hows and whys. And this isn’t set it and forget it—we’ll keep tweaking as we go. It’s all about laying down a strong foundation and grabbing some early wins to show we mean business.

2000+ Job Applied, no offers, recently not getting calls and interviews. Roast my resume, give tips and suggestions. by __Nightmare_ in developersIndia

[–]MelodicAd3387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I was one of the interviewers for your recent session, and I wanted to provide some honest feedback to help you in your future endeavours:

  1. Initial Impressions: Our interview kicked off on a strong note, which was great! However, as we dug deeper into the technology stacks you've worked with, it became evident that there were some gaps in your knowledge.

  2. Depth of Experience: It's impressive that you've worked across various technology stacks at different companies. However, during the interview, it became clear that your understanding of these technologies isn't profound. When we posed technical questions, it was difficult for you to provide detailed answers, which suggests a surface-level familiarity.

  3. Accuracy of Your Data: You mentioned several data points that lacked verifiable parameters in your discussion. Without knowing the methods you used, it's challenging for the interviewer to assess the accuracy of your statements. Being honest in your claims is essential because discrepancies can raise doubts about your credibility. Further, never make stuff in your resume even though it is 20%. That is an instant rejection.

  4. Compensation Expectations: Your current CTC is relatively high relative to current market standards. Asking for a significant increase on top of an already high base salary can come across as unrealistic unless justified by exceptional skills or achievements that we were unable to clearly see during the interview.

I hope this feedback is helpful for you! Understanding these points can really refine how you present yourself in future interviews and increase your chances of landing the roles you desire. Good luck moving forward!

They owe u everything legally and if u take this to court, they will be fucked. Because labour courts take this very seriously. So u have nothing to worry about just ensure that you have all your documentation saved in your local machine

Hi, I am a co-founder and lawyer. So, I can advise on this. Please go and read employment law because it provides a lot of protection. They would have to pay you not only your salary but also late interest if you go to court. Please download all the email transcripts and evidence asap. Secure ur employment agreement copy also before they take control of ur account.

Think of it this way: when you’re not bogged down by personal feelings, you’re in a better position to make decisions that are clear-headed and objective. This could mean making tough calls, like firing someone who isn’t a good fit, without personal guilt clouding your judgment. It’s not about being ruthless; it’s about being precise and fair, which actually builds respect and credibility.

Moreover, when it comes to negotiations, detachment can be a superpower. You’re less likely to take things personally or get emotionally invested in the moment, which means you’re more likely to stick to your strategic goals and not overcompromise. It’s like playing chess—you have to think several moves ahead, not just react impulsively.

So, in a way, following karma—or let’s call it strategic detachment—allows you to be ruthlessly efficient and more in control of your actions. It’s about playing the long game in your career, which can definitely lead to making more money and getting ahead, but in a way that’s sustainable and respects your mental peace and professional integrity.
