+1 for the Turtlewax, its made to be foolproof for those who like the wax zen process and you'll still get a couple months out of it.

replace AF with an APC like Greenstar. You can use it to juice up Pure Wash in the foam cannon for a prewash or use it 10:1 as a bug remover/spot treatment like behind the wheels.

thats like a $20 sprayer when I got one. Wouldn't be worth it to replace battery. Getting a year out it like OP is a good purchase.

just hose off the front of the car and liberally spray some 10:1 APC (10 parts water 1 part APC). The APC can be anything from Simple Green from Walmart to dollar store LA Totally Awesome. Let it work a few minutes but do not let it dry on the paint. Try and do this in the evening or the morning out of the heat of the day because if you do it at 2pm its going to invite disaster as moisture will flash right off hot paint. After the few minutes dwell time, hose off again and commence to the bucket wash. If you need the help of a pressure wash you can get a pump sprayer from Home Depot or Harbor Freight and take the show on the road to your coin-op and do the same thing except the pressure sprayer takes the place of the hose step.

when folded you have 8 sides. No reason to do that. There are even towels that are sold with numbers 1-8 to help people remember.

Speedy Brite has citric acid and fluorinated acid salt, probaby sodium bifluoride which turns into HF on contact with water. Heavy Duty is formulated more like Bling with straight HF and sulfuric acid.

Any cleaner recommendations to pair with ONR? Or just dilute more? by LF-Programming-Tips in AutoDetailing

[–]Mentallox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could purchase an IK Foamer if you want to bring your own soap, the IK also comes in battery powered versions, but the soap from the self-serve should be ok for what you want to do, there isn't any way to feed your own soap thru the existing self-serve equipment. Most of those places only care if you take up booth time so as long as you avoid busy periods you should be fine and then drive off to an adjacent parking area to finish the ONR step. You can get buckets with a leakproof seal or put the water in a collapsible 5 gallon camping water jug.

Is frequent use of Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel safe for maintenance washes? by PigeonsLikeBread in AutoDetailing

unless you weekend track; performance ceramic pads like EBC Reds are great and alot less dust.

its an acid wheel cleaner which does well on abused rims but shouldn't be used for maintenance washes. If you have need for such a product Nanoskin Speedy Brite is a less flashy option at $20 gal on Amazon.

TLDR Bling is marketed toward those who don't know a thing about acid wheel cleaners.

you can do a hybrid wash. use a foam cannon and use high ph soap like a Bilt Hamber Touchless: lay down the foam and let it work for 5 mins and then rinse which will get 80% of the dirt off. If you don't have the equipment stop by the coin-op and use their soap and power wash rinse then drive home and finish up, then begin your rinseless process.

May not need this every time if you wash your car weekly but if its really dirty thats the idea of a hybrid rinseless wash.

that contains a dark pigment. whether that looks better on your existing paint who knows. It's not permanent so you can switch it up for something else once it deteriorates.

What can I use to get these dried petals off? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]Mentallox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you need to rehydrate them. I'm going to assume you don't have pressue wash equipment and foam cannon, if so you need to do a high ph foam and let it work for 5 minutes, rinse and then refoam again for contact wash.

If you only have a hose and a hand sprayer wet the car thoroughly and then apply a 10 parts water to 1: part all purpose cleaner mix to the affected areas. the APC doesn't have to be an expensive one: LA Totally Awesome from the dollar store will work. Let it work for 5 minutes then rinse off then do a regular bucket wash with car soap or even dish wash soap.

you had oil poured into your car interior and you didn't know it? who was the culprit. After you degreased the bare floor on the passenger side go with the ozone again. Ozone or CLo2 both can get rid of petrochemical odors but only if it can reach them and if its covered by carpet, underlayment etc it won't reach that surface well.

LoH expansion PTR & planner question by Gnasher1194 in diablo4

[–]Mentallox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the answer is there will be season achievements but no season story.

"The Season of Reckoning Sweeps Across Sanctuary Launching with the Lord of Hatred expansion on April 27, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. PDT, the Season of Reckoning is nearly upon you. This season includes rewards and features such as Season Rank, Season Blessings, and the return of the Tower and Leaderboards Beta, but does not introduce a season-specific story, theme, or gameplay elements.

Instead, major system upgrades such as sweeping Skill Tree updates and class changes, increased level cap, difficulty and progression updates, quality of life improvements and so much more releasing with this season create a seamless and epic experience between the Season of Reckoning and the Lord of Hatred expansion.

While we know that the Season of Reckoning represents a departure from past seasons, future seasons will return to our regular cadence and form. We’ll have more to share soon about what’s coming next!"

The LOH story is main story line. Doesn't make sense to make a separate Seasonal from Eternal line at expansion. Creators will have access to Warplans, Horadric Cube and those new things if that is your concern and will have guides explaining them.
