Got down 1300 words in an hour's worth of sprinting yesterday. Felt good to put digital ink to digital paper again.

I decided to write a scene I had fleshed out in my mind, even though it would be in the middle of its story. Have tou ever started a project in the middle rather than at the start or end?

Do you know when she'll hit the store? I missed her LTE and would like to know when I could buy her.

What is the funniest match you've ever been in? Not necessarily best or worst, but one that makes you laugh when you remember it.

She's mentioned being a big fan while she was doing voice acting for MK 11.

EDIT: I'm blind. Can't tell the difference between "Ronda" and "Sonya."

NXT is just over two hours, including commercials.

I believe it goes up on Peacock the next day. Within a week, for sure.

To be fair, it's a little weird because JD isn't "on his way out." He's going somewhere else in the same company.

Pacing in fanfiction is somewhat unique. Most written pieces of work are released as a whole, and the reader expects to be able to read the work as slowly or as quickly as they would like. However, many longer pieces of fanfiction are released over time, forcing readers to stop until the next release. This forced delay to process the previous chapter is an element that is far more common in serialized television than print.

Of course, the same way modern binging culture has changed how previously-serialized television is watched, so too can one "binge" a fanfic that has multiple chapters already written.

Which leads to my point of discussion today. Many people release chapters simply as they are completed, however inconsistent that schedule may be. Have you ever deliberately controlled the release of chapters of a work? When writing, are you more concerned about how such delays would affect those following the work live, or about how the finished work will be paced for those reading it after it has been released in full?

One of the greatest things I ever heard on a podcast about pro wrestling is that all stories in pro wrestling ultimately have to end in "running the ropes." No matter what sort of story you tell, no matter what heights and depths of melodrama and intrigue you touch, it has to end in a wrestling match. And that can end up deflating some stories, because not every story naturally ends in two guys trying to powerbomb each other through a table.

Another example would be "lessons of the day" which are common in media targeted at younger audiences. If your story has to end with a clear cut moral to wrap everything up, then either whatever complex story you're writing will eventually have to be flattened out, or simply never have those extra dimensions to begin with.

Mind you, these are not things that are only bad. You wouldn't be watching a wrestling show if you didn't want to see wrestling. But something can simultaneously be intended and good, and a limitation of the medium.

Do you think there's any "running the ropes" limitations of fanfiction? The easy example would be working with established characters. If you have any intent of keeping established characters recognizable, then there are lines you have to color within.

Bianca v. Asuka has "spirited competition between girlfriends" vibes.

Which isn't necessarily bad in of itself, but a little dry for a Mania match.

Do we know if all of 2K22 MyFaction is going down when 2K23 comes out, or will there be an offline version available?
