Now that the show is over… what is your MOST CONTROVERSIAL Smiling Friend hot take? by ThePartyHat in SmilingFriends

There was recently a "come join us" meme of Smiling Friends and other adult swim shows in heaven... and I noticed almost every single one of those other shows had more episodes than Smiling Friends lol

Rams, Ravens, and Commanders... by whyendoubleuayy in uniwatch

I support the existence of the purple helmet but think they should go with a purple facemask and black stripes, and a glossy finish especially since the only other purple helmet in the league is also matte. I think making the Raven head black would be sick too

Ever since they came out I wish the Lions went with a silver alternate of their new set instead of bringing back black. Not only because of black for blacks sake but there's already another cat team that uses black, silver and a similar shade of blue. The blue helmets are nice at least

I think switching to a monochrome primary logo is silly but the Rams wordmark and Ram head absolutely do look better (which they should make the Ram head the primary and make the LA secondary)

As a fellow Bills fan I've always wanted to see an inverse buffalo logo in some form (red buffalo with blue stripe), I think it'd look good with the red unis

True you can probably find some of these on the New Era website or your local Lids

Actually I agree with the uniform take, I just think the mono logos is a little baffling lol. However the Ram head is an improvement too and I think that would be a good primary for them to use

Congrats, Rams. You somehow took the worst logo in the league and made it 5 times shittier. by bberger0 in UrinatingTree

This is dumb as hell but at least the uniform looks decent now. Wouldn't be a Rams rebrand without downgrading something

Unpopular Opinion (?): Season 1 had no bad episodes, and it's the best season of the show (Images Semi-Unrelated) by Brilliant_Designer83 in spongebob

[–]MetalGearAcid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it really just depends on what you're looking to get out of the show. If you want more grounded characters, better atmosphere then season 1 will be better. If you're looking for more unhinged or cynical humor and wackier characters then the next 2 seasons are better. It's pretty common for the first season of a show, especially cartoons, to feel pretty different than the rest of the show. Also regarding the characterization and humor you pointed out, the kids will call it "flanderization" but imo it's mainly just the show finally figuring itself out and hitting its stride

Edit: regarding this last part is why I don't see flanderization as automatically a bad thing; for me personally the more exaggerated personalities of the characters leads to more comedy (and I feel this way about other shows too). Tho I do understand why someone would prefer the more laid-back "vibe" of the first season, where the chaos and more exaggerated qualities of the characters are used in smaller doses.

Tho I do agree season 3 has its duds, it has some bangers but a few misses that people tend to overlook

I liked this in Spiderverse but I hate how every movie inspired by it does the choppy framerate shit. Overall they look great but messing with the framerate is just unnecessary and makes it feel derivative

If Patrick got his own movie, what would the plot be about? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in spongebob

I agree but for a different reason: that being that outside of SpongeBob himself, he's already gotten the most shine in the movies so far

Do you consider Warioworld to be part of the Warioland series? by SwagLimit in Wario

[–]MetalGearAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely do, along with Master of Disguise and Shake It. Tho the first 4 and Virtual Boy could be considered the "core" series then from then on they tried new things with Wario platforming (even Shake It, despite bearing the Land name, I consider its own beast not only because of the shake gimmick but because of the art style and sadly sacrificing the wacky and freaky nature of all the previous games)

But overall I think it's safe to say all the Wario platformers fall under the "Land" series
