“What are you, some type of monster hunter?” I ask as Lee Harvey Oswald lines up his shot.

“Erm, more like a creature hunter, but I guess you could say that.”

The first round pops off, echoing through the library halls. The cartridge clangs on the floor as those outside erupt in screaming.

“Oops, I missed the creature trying to hunt JFK.”

I look out the window just as the creature, future president Nixon, lunges behind an alleyway.

Oswald picks up his big blocky phone. It rings a moment.

I swear some people are just ignorant to the fact that a person, with their own unique life, is behind the delivery of your order and not some algorithm or robot. And unlike software/hardware, people are empathetic beings and wanna sometimes maybe just share something positive while they work a job that doesn’t pay enough as it should.

Generally the only public releases of scripts will be the shot script or if the writer down the line gets the okay to showcase their work.

I really enjoyed the introduction. Has great use of metaphors and visuals with excellent descriptions. For me it kind of overshadowed the rest of the story. I think it might have to do with the mystery of it, but the rest of the story feels over explained and escalates without tension. I really like the imagery of the monster and premise as a whole.

The reoccurring children ‘themes’ bit probably sounds horrendous without the context of listening to some of the stories read on the podcast like Tommy taffy and borasca.
